About Me
Originally from Clinton, NJ, Dan has been surrounded by music his whole life. He grew up in a musical home with a sister who sang and acted from a very young age, now finding success on Broadway. In addition to that, his father, who was also a singer and guitarist in his earlier years. Dan’s journey in playing music began with piano, then finding that his true love in the guitar.
At 13, Dan began taking private guitar lessons with local guitarist Joe Stuby. With Joe’s experience in working with musicians such as Bernie Worrell (Parliament Funkadelic) and Buddy Miles (Band Of Gypsys), Dan was exposed to the beauty of Funk and Soul early. After taking lessons with Joe for eight years learning the ins and outs of Rock, Blues, Funk, and Soul styles, Dan went on to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston. It was at Berklee where Dan really expanded his technique and abilities on the guitar.
