As you might be able to tell, I'm a pretty fun and outgoing person. I love music with a passion and I love teaching. In 2012, I started up my own teaching business giving lessons to underprivileged youth in the Minneapolis and metro areas. I have been playing guitar for over 30 years. I played in various rock bands for fun growing up and then developed a passion for acoustic finger-style guitar playing and songwriters like James Taylor. While still in high school, I opened a concert for Livingston Taylor (James’ brother). After high school I decided to pursue my passion for guitar in college and received my Bachelors degree in Classical Guitar Performance studying with Robert Guthrie at Southern Methodist University. I also love to write music so after graduating from SMU I went out to Los Angeles and worked in the film music industry at Warner Bros. Studios for many years. Hi, my name is Anna. As an orphan, I grew up in Hungary in a foster home. At a very young age I was already exposed to music. It kind of blew me away. I didn't know how something could be so beautiful, and it was like a miracle for me. Then and there, I knew that something special was waiting for me ahead. When I was 3, I didn't talk for a long time, but I did do one thing: sing. At that point my life has totally changed. I began my long journey. My foster parents got me in to a music school, called Janos Patzay Music School. I knew immediately what I wanted to be. I built my whole life on music. I am a 27 year old drummer with 18 years of experience spanning all genre's and styles of music. Countless hours of stage performance with bands. Mark H. has been a professional teacher, musician, and singer for over 20 years. He has taught Voice, Guitar, Acting, Bass Guitar, & Music Theory to students of all ages in various settings ranging from private lessons to college classrooms. He is a fun, experienced, passionate teacher willing to work with students of all levels from beginners to professionals. Mark absolutely loves helping all his students achieve their individual goals.

Mark has performed in musical groups that have played locally and toured nationally. He has opened for national recording artists such as Eddie Money, Blackfoot, Kenny Wayne Shepard, Molly Hatchet, and Shooting Star (to name just a few). He has extensive songwriting experience and has composed original songs for various local bands. He has also produced musical scores for theatrical productions at the University of Minnesota, Harmon Place Players, and the Rhombus Theater Company.

Meet Stacy K B.: vocalist, guitar and piano player with over 10 years experience in the music performance business. Stacy K B. (better known as Stacy K) has been sharing her knowledge of music for over two years and is known for her energetic and creative approach to teaching lessons. Besides teaching, Stacy K also performs in original and cover bands throughout the Midwest. Stacy also has experience in writing original music, jingles, voice overs, and backup vocalists for various artists (in studio performances and live). I am a performer/teacher! I was the music director at my home church in 2009. The summer of 2011 I live and performed in Italy. In 2012 I join the education staff of the Minnesota Opera coaching high schoolers at Opera Camp. This fall I plan on joining the Twin Cities' professional choir VocalEssence.
As for privately teaching, I've been teaching since 2008 and I am very passionate about teaching people the skills that I learned as a young singer.

I have been teaching lessons and performing for over ten years in a wide variety of styles and settings. I have a master's degree in Jazz Studies from Purchase College and a bachelors degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in Jazz and African American Studies. After college I worked on Carnival Cruise Lines for three years, which gave me a ton of experience in all sorts of musical genres. Afterwards, I lived in Brooklyn, playing around town and teaching in Brooklyn and Long Island. After a summer living on Cape Cod while performing with the great wedding/corporate band, "The Sultans of Swing," I moved with my wife to the beautiful city of Minneapolis.

I bring years of experience teaching and performing into my lessons. I believe every student is a unique individual and must be taught that way, with patience, understanding, and open-mindedness.

I got my first guitar as a Christmas gift when I was 12 years old, after a few lessons, practiced a lot, and by the time I was 15, was playing around town. I learned to play guitar by transcribing what I heard on records.

I received my music degree from Wayne State University in Detroit in 1997. I have been playing, teaching and performing guitar for over 30 years now. I like to focus on basic musicianship for beginners, while intermediate to advanced students can expect to learn theory and improvisation using rock, blues and jazz styles. I enjoy helping beginning guitar players get started on the right track. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy traveling and performing with my wife, singer/songwriter Rachel.

My knowledge of music theory allows me to explain abstract concepts and ideas to my students in a language that they can understand. I enjoy helping people to gain a better understanding of music in this way.
