About Me

I am a passionate and creative music teacher. Since childhood, it has been her dream to teach music. I believe that a great teacher is a great student. I have studied secular and sacred music in college. I am trained in Piano, Voice, Clarinet and Music Theory. I am also flexible when it come to teaching various styles, from Classical to R & B, from Gospel to Inspirational. I will work to the best of my ability to help you achieve your goal.

I believe that it is never too late to learn, to try, start over, no matter what stage you are in life. One thing you can count on, I will not give up on you. If you want it, you can have it... you can achieve it.

About Me

I have been a teacher in private practice for 20 years. I have a wide range of experience with singers of all styles and age groups with a variety of goals and skills. I sang with a professional jazz octet for a number of years while maintaining my practice, have taught various master classes, musically directed various musicals, have sung background vocals and played piano on various recordings. I studied vocal and piano performance at Murray State University and studied privately through my adult singing and teaching career.

I have been playing violin since I was 8 years old, piano from my freshman year of high school, singing in choirs since about the fourth grade, and composing music as far back as I can remember. I have been involved in quite a few musical groups such as the Alton Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Alton Symphony Orchestra, Saint Louis Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the Webster Symphony Orchestra, and was always involved in anything music oriented in school such as All State, chamber groups, and have won awards such as Best of Day for Illinois Solo and Ensemble Contest, and a one year full ride talent based scholarship to Lewis and Clark Community College. I attend Webster University with a focus on violin performance and composition.

About Me

Hi! My name is Angela, and I teach private piano, voice, and theory lessons. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Lindenwood University, am certified to teach music to all levels in the state of Missouri, and am currently attending Washington University, due to get my Masters in Music Theory in spring of 2012. I hope to continue on to the Doctorate level, and my ultimate goal is to teach music theory in a University. I love teaching, and have taught many ages (4 to 84) and ability levels (novice to advanced). I am a dependable, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic teacher.

My musical journey began at the age of seven, when my mother enrolled me in piano lessons. I have been playing ever since, and love it. After I was experienced enough to stop taking lessons, I searched for another instrument to add to my repertoire. Composer and guitarist David began formal music training at the age of 5 on the drums. He taught himself guitar as a teenager and began playing in local rock bands. Initially entering college as a Journalism major, his passion for music led him to Meramec College where he studied Music Theory with Robert C. Howard and classical guitar with Larry Bolles. From 1990 through 1993, he attended Webster University, and became only the second composer in the school's history to receive the BM/MM Scholarship. While at Webster, he studied composition with Dr. Kendall Stallings, Robert Chamberlin, and Kim Portnoy, Jazz History with Paul Demarinis, and 18th Century Counterpoint with Dr. Eloise Jarvis. During his education, he performed with many student ensembles and sat in on master classes by the great sitarist and surbaharist, Imrat Khan and jazz guitarist Peter Leitch.

About Me

A performer, instructor, producer, and composer since his teens, Andrew's versatility and passion make him a valuable educator. Having studied percussion at Webster University under Kevin Gianino and Henry Claude, his skills range from jazz drum set to Brazilian tambourine, from corp-style snare drum to classical timpani. While at Webster, he also obtained extensive knowledge in the field of audio engineering and music production. Andrew has been teaching privately in his home studio since 2003 and also served as the instructor for Parkway South High School’s award winning “Spirit of ‘76” Drumline from 2005-2010 and assisted with the school’s Symphonic Percussion class and Jazz Lab class. He also teaches a summer Street Drumming class at Dayspring School of the Arts.
