I have been playing the guitar for 20 years. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in 2003. I have over 13 years of professional experience playing in bands, touring worldwide, and also as a studio musician.

I have been a private instructor for 10 years teaching all ages from 5 and up. I have worked out of lesson studios like Yamaha music schools and South Pasadena music to name a few.

I am able to take my experience and show you how to do something with the music you are learning. I focus on technique, performance, ear training, theory, and also timing, and playing with others. I am very patient, and aim to make your lessons fun and not boring.

Music has been my passion since I was very young.

Started off as a member of the church Junior choir and then went on to take my first piano class in the first grade.

Come high school, I was already joining rock bands as a pianist and a lead singer.

I have also been teaching for the Yamaha School of Music since 92-93, and through all the gigs, shows, concerts, studios and stages I've performed in--I know that teaching teh next generation of musicians has always been my calling.

As I had started to play the bass when i was 13 I quickly became a musical sponge and ceased every opportunity I had to play music every day. I played in garage bands with my friends and even jazz gigs with my father's co-workers. I spent a solid 5 years playing with as many local musicians as I could in my small Alaskan town. By 18 I had attended two years in the University's music Academy and been promoted to a mentor position.
A year later I decided to pursue my music career in Los Angeles and educate myself at a Bachelor level at Musicians Institute. After 3 years of intense study and graduation I have played with many artists who have had songs placed on TV and film, recorded with grammy-award winning names, and constantly on call for around the city.
I am very excited to be a part of this team so I can spread my knowledge, work with up and coming talent, and grow along with the students I will teach.

I have taught private guitar, piano, bass and drum lessons since the late 70s in Salt Lake City, where I majored in jazz guitar performance, and since 1980 in Los Angeles. I make the lessons fun. Some of my students have received college scholarships and won cash prizes for music contests. All of them had fun while learning and improving on their instruments.

I attended the Berklee School of Music in Boston, and I have a BA in Music. I am a working pro musician, regularly playing all different kinds of gigs with different bands, as well as solo, and regular gigs on TV. I have taught music lessons, and guitar in particular, for 17 years. I play all styles, but my favorites are Rock, R&B, Country, Rockabilly, and Blues (I also enjoy playing jazz, classical, and other styles as well). My main instruments are guitar (electric and acoustic) and voice, but I play keyboards, bass, mandolin, and drums also.

I'm surrounded by music and musicians everyday! I spend most of my hours recording musicians in my studio, but get the most benefit out of teaching students there. I Give my students the opportunity to not only learn to master their instrument, but also the chance to learn how to be a studio musician. Students of mine have the opportunity to record any of their lessons (that we hold in my studio) as i feel most students never get the opportunity to hear themselves play.
