About Me

Welcome! My name is Sarah, and I would love to be your dance instructor.

I have years of experience teaching all types of dance, and I continue to do it because it's the best job in the world. I currently teach all types of ballroom dance styles, including:

General social dancing, both Latin and American
Competitive-style dancing, both Latin and American
Special occasion dances (First dances, Father-Daughter and Mother-Son dances, reunions and cruise prepations, etc.)

My lessons last either 45 minutes or 60 minutes, and each is tailored to your individual needs and situation. I always teach with both a short-term and long-term plan in mind to maximize the learning you get out of each lesson. I teach both couples and singles (men and women), and promise to allay any lingering fears or nervousness that you might have about finally tackling dance. Dancing is easy and fun, and EVERYONE should know how!

I am willing to travel to your home or chosen space, and I bring everything I need with me to provide a professional, fun learning experience.

About Me

My name is Ambria McDonald! I was born and raised in Jackson, MS, but moved to the DMV area in August of 2010. I recently graduated from Howard University and decided to stay in the area for a few more years. I am passionate about science, the environment, and the arts. I am a trained pianist and dancer. I started playing the piano at the age of 8 and competed locally for 7 consecutive years, receiving Superior Ratings, medals, and trophies. I also started dancing at the age of 5. I attended a performing arts school for Dance my 4th grade year until the completion of my studies from high school. While there, I was trained in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, and Hip Hop. I was also a member of a contemporary dance company called I.AM.WE during the 2013-2014 school year at Howard University. Lastly, I have been teaching all of the aforementioned styles since October of 2013 in addition to Liturgical and Religious Mime Interpretive Dances.

Hi my name is Anne Wimer and I have been teaching Movement and Dance to children for the past five years. When I'm not sharing my joy of movement with the kiddies I can be found soloing and performing with my troupes Al-Massraweya and Saffron's Fellahi Dance Company as a Semi-professional Middleastern Dancer and Folkloric Dancer. As well I have a background in mentoring and tutoring Spanish-English and English-Spanish speakers locally and time spent in Mexico working with Mano Amiga

I am available to teach Belly-Dance, Folkloric Middle- Eastern Dance, Swing Dancing and to provide tutoring for general comprehension and Spanish for children and adults. I look forward to meeting with you soon!
