Hi, I'm Heather. I’m from a small town in Harford County, MD, called Abingdon. It’s really close to Baltimore, MD which is about 15 minutes away from Abingdon. I live with my husband and two bunnies. I’m an R.N. with a bachelors degree in Nursing and 16 years of training in music by masters of Curtis Institute, Julliard, and Peabody Conservatory. I have been teaching piano for over 10 years. In 2001, I had a diversion of career from nursing and I absolutely fell in love with the idea of teaching piano and I started giving piano lessons. I love playing my Masan & Hamlin grand piano for personal pleasure, and I spend a lot of time practicing for different occasions. Chris holds a Bachelor's Degree in Performance from Berklee College of Music. He started playing drums at an early age and began studying seriously throughout his high school and college years. Chris has always had a love for all types of music whether it be Jazz, Rock, Metal, Punk, Prog, Fusion, Classical or Latin music...he has been influenced by some form of music and rhythm. This is why he has built his career around performing, recording and teaching.
After attending music programs in high school and gigging around the Northern Virginia and D.C. music scene Chris began studying with Bill Richards (Navy Band Percussionist) as he attended NOVA community college's music program. Chris then moved to Boston and started at Berklee College. Additionally, he was able to get some lessons from drum master Gary Chaffee (world renowned teacher and author of the Patterns series of books) who really opened his mind with his approach to the drum set.

I discovered music sifting through my Dad's record collection and soon decided that I wanted to play guitar. As a teenager I began taking lessons and building confidence in my abilities. I played in different types of bands ranging from rock, country, blues, and jazz. After completing College in 2003, I realized music was not just going to be a hobby, but a career. At age 29, I have been teaching and playing guitar professionally for the last six years. I believe that anybody can learn to play as long as they are patient and understand that anything worthwhile takes time and sustained effort to achieve. You also need a good teacher who understands how to take you where you want to go musically. I have taught over a hundred different students of all ages and abilities. I have seen many of them grow musically and gain confidence in other areas of their lives as a result. I aim to inspire every student to find their way to a rewarding life through music.

I am an international singer/songwriter, performer and teacher with a home-base in Baltimore, Maryland. I enjoy teaching the love of music through the medium that makes most sense to you, either voice, guitar, songwriting or French horn. Through teaching, I feel I am giving back what was given to me, the pure joy of performing. I love helping people find and connect with their music.

Lyric Baritone, Orlando S., holds graduate and undergraduate degrees from the Peabody Conservatory and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, respectively. Orlando serves as the Director of Music and Chancel Choir conductor at Hunt's Memorial United Methodist Church which was founded in 1773 during the advent of our nation’s history.

In addition to his work as a conductor, Orlando is also a highly-respected and sought studio teacher of voice and piano. He maintains an active voice and piano studio in the Baltimore area having successfully taught hundreds of students. I teach students as young as 7 and all ability levels, whether you're just starting out, have been playing for a while, or are considering switching from violin to viola. My students don't just learn to copy my playing, but learn how progress and problem-solve when they're practicing on their own.

I am currently pursuing a Master of Music in viola with a concentration in string pedagogy and a graduate of the New England Conservatory and Tufts University double degree program with degrees in Viola performance and English Literature. At NEC I studied with Roger Tapping, Carol Rodland, and Kim Kashkashian. My summer festival experience includes Aspen Music Festival, Bowdoin International Music Festival, and the Heifetz Institute, where I also worked with Jeffrey Irvine, John Graham, and James Dunham.

Soprano Belinda L. is quickly emerging as a sought-after performer both in opera and as a recitalist. Her performances have been described as “mesmerizing” and her crystal clear voice is full of a “beauty and sensitivity that makes her an immediate stand out.” Most recently, Belinda has appeared on the stage of Peabody Opera as Euridice in Gluck's Orfeo. Music and teaching music have been my passions for as long as I can remember! Throughout my career as a student, I have explored many musical paths and instruments. All these experiences contributed to making me the well-rounded and intelligent musician I am today.

My undergraduate degree is from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in Music education where I am certified to teach any music from students K-12. Currently, I am pursuing a masters degree in Vocal Performance and Opera from the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University where I study under Phyllis Bryn-Julson.

Although singing is my #1 passion, I encourage students to play instruments and explore other musical outlets. Musical instruments I've learned and performed with include: piano, french horn, mallet percussion, classical guitar, and saxophone. Music has so much to offer - take advantage of it now!

I have studied with Wanchi Huang at James Madison University for six years. At JMU, I earned a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music, both in violin performance. I am currently working on a doctoral degree at Catholic University of America, studying with Jody Gatwood. When I was a student at JMU, I taught several students privately. The students ranged from retirees to JMU faculty and students to adolescents. I am now teaching at Baltimore Talent Education Center, where I teach violin in small groups and individual lessons.
