Graduate of the highly acclaimed University of Northern Colorado, I have a very versatile background including 3 degrees, music performance, elementary education, and psychology. I wanted to do it all, and have been amazed at how the three disciplines can be utilized together for an incredibly effective teaching style. I've worked in the private sector, in public schools, and even in a hospital setting with at-risk students. I've worked with students one-on-one, and in group settings as well. I have even used music as a therapeutic tool to engage difficult to engage students. I have an incredible knack with children, especially, and am a people lover in general. I received my Associates in Music from Tulsa Community College and went on to receive my Bachelor's of Music in 2007 from The University of Tulsa. I began my teaching career at Tulsa Central High School Fine and Performing Art Magnet for TPS in 2008 as the head band director. I was in charge of all instrumental music such as: Concert Band, Marching Band, Jazz Band, Small Ensembles and Drum Line. I also taught outside the band room teaching World Music, Music Theory, Piano Lab I and II, and Jazz Improvisation. Beginning this year I have moved to teaching Jr. High Band while still continuing to teach HS Jazz and Piano Lab.

Hello! My name is Brandon C., and I am currently finishing my Bachelor's in music education at The University of Oklahoma. I am a clarinet player primarily who has learned to play piano, guitar, saxophone, and sing over years of my higher education career, taking lessons in each respective instrument as well. I already have one All-State musician under my tutelage, and I hope to foster musical inspiration, diligence, creativity and mastery in each and every student I teach!

Music is my passion. I've been playing music since I was a child but didn't get serious with it until I was 14, that's when I got my first electric guitar. So, from then on I've been playing and studying music for around 14 years. I play and teach guitar, piano, drums, and bass guitar. Aside from taking years of private lessons with a number of teachers I also studied music and audio engineering in college. I'm constantly learning more. I keep my chops up by practicing and reading books by other professionals and songwriters. So, I have an arsenal of books and musical knowledge. When I'm not teaching I spend most of my time writing and recording my original solo music. I have a rock band that I've been playing with for over a decade. We are currently in the studio recording our first professional album.
