Drumming since the age of 13. Self taught for several years, at the age of 19 he attended to college in Bogota, Colombia completing two years of music studies at Pontifical Xaveriana University. In 2005 he went to Los Angeles,CA (USA) to continue his studies enrolling at the Prestigious L.A Music Academy College of Music. He’s a solid and versatile drummer with finesse, he has studied many styles of music such as Rock, Pop, Gospel, Jazz, World (brazilian, latin, african), Worship music etc.

In 2008, he landed his first professional gig touring the United States with Singer/Songwriter ZIV, award-winning for best independent record of the year in Europe. Meanwhile, he also worked as a session and live drummer with numerous artists: Tarik Batal, Arden Kaywin, and others.

I began playing music at the age of 12. Following in my father's and brother's footsteps, I first began playing guitar. After plucking around a little I found that something wasn't right. I wanted more interaction with my hands and feet to play the music. I was always banging on tables, buckets and trash cans, all of which thrilled me more than playing guitar. After constantly begging my parents for a drum set, they finally gave in and bought me my first drum-set for his 13th birthday. Soon after, I started playing drums everyday to my favorite records and songs. When I went to high school, I joined my school's drum-line and marching band. It was during this time that I began to heavily focus on my rudimental training. Also, during high school I played drums for four years in a grunge rock band with several of my friends.

I grew up in the metro-Detroit suburb of Farmington Hills. After High School, I attended the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music. While attending CCM, I was chosen as the 2007 Sisters and Jazz Drummer for IAJE. With this band I toured NYC, Washington DC, and Costa Rica. I finished my Masters degree from the California Institute of the Arts in 2010. I currently maintain an active performance calendar around LA.
I’ve been teaching private drum lessons and group percussion/ jazz classes for over six years. My teaching and playing experience ranges from marching percussion to classical percussion to all styles of drum set. I’ve had many students place in their high school drum lines or jazz bands and be accepted to all-state band/orchestra/jazz bands. I’ve even had a few students go on to major in music in college. Matt G. is a professional percussionist/drummer who has vast experience from all genres of the music industry. He has a bachelor’s degree from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, where he studied with timpanist/percussionist legend, Vic Firth. He also studied with Jaki Byard, George Russell and later with music guru, Charlie Banacos and Alan Dawson, renowned drummer/educator.

After graduation from NEC, he won the principal timpanist position for the Maracaibo Symphony Orchestra in Maracaibo, Venezuela. He remained in Venezuela for almost 9 years playing and teaching what was then the beginning of El Sistema. One of his former students is presently the principal timpanist of the orchestra and a couple of his other former students play in the percussion section. It was here that he became fluent in Spanish.

He returned to the Boston area in 1985 and became a free-lance player. He performed with several groups, notably Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra, Boston Pops...

My name is Louie D. and I am a Spring 2012 graduate of the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. with a Bachelor of Arts (Phi Beta Kappa) in International Affairs and Jazz Studies. I teach beginning-to-intermediate music students on piano, and beginning-to-advanced students on either drum set, percussion, music production and/or songwriting. I attained a degree in education from Truman State Universtiy in order to have something to fall back on. Through touring the world and recording with a variety of artists I discovered that teaching was something that I was much more passionate about than even I could have guessed. I've been lucky to study with amazing instructors at North Texas State University and Berklee College of Music. These teachers taught me that it's improtant to see each student as an individual and to approach their learning process as unique. The 20 plus years of teaching I've done has shown me that the joy I feel being onstage playing is equal to that experienced by my students when they realize that they can achieve their goals as well.

Originally from Texas, Blake Walker now calls Los Angeles home. He has played in many bands performing different styles of music. Blake is passionate about playing the guitar, drums, piano and singing.

I have been a student of the drums myself for 17 years. I started like many musicians have, learning to play a musical instrument in the school orchestra. I picked up some drum sticks and haven't put them down since. My favorite styles of music are funk and rock. I have studied orchestral drumming, drumset, and music theory for 2 years at the university level. I love to teach and finding ways of making drumming easy to understand. I currently play with 2 bands and record whenever an opportunity arises.

A little about my career: I am a professional drummer, singer, and producer based in Los Angeles. My professional credits include Blue Man Group, The National Symphony Orchestra under Grammy winning conductor Leonard Slatkin, and the European tour of The Berlioz Requiem under Grammy winning conductor Robert Shafer. I have composed and tracked music for The Discovery Channel and Black Box TV, played in orchestras on and off Broadway, performed/recorded extensively in LA, NYC, and Nashville, and spent the last decade recording and touring internationally with artists and bands of many different styles.
