Every since I can remember, I've enjoyed music! When it came time to choose a career, I choose to study my hobby and get a degree in piano teaching so I could share my love of music with others. In 2007, I graduated with a degree in Piano Pedagogy (basically, the art of teaching piano) from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC.

While I was earning my degree I taught a wide variety of classes ranging from beginning elementary music to college-level music classes. I also taught private music lessons for students from kindergarten to high school. After graduating I continued to teach private and group piano lessons through a local studio and in my student's homes until we moved out of state.

Piano has always been a part of my life. My first memory is a memory snapshot of a piano. I was two years old, and I remember sitting on the wood floor gazing at the piano. The rest is history.

I love music, and I love teaching. I teach my students how to express their heart through the piano; music can express what words cannot. Success of my students is what is priority in my teaching. I teach them how to set goals, and visualize themselves attaining those goals.

My favorite aspects of teaching are encouraging my students to perform their best, watching them achieve what they at first thought they could not, and bringing smiles to their faces. I always continue to learn, love to arrange and compose, and enjoy performing for my church monthly as a pianist and performing weekly in my church's orchestra as a percussionist.

I had my first piano lesson when I was five years old. I performed my first piano solos for audiences at school events. I joined the keyboard team at church when I was thirteen years old. I quickly learned to improvise and accompany. It was exciting to discover that I could study piano in college. I earned my way by accompanying voice and instrument choirs, rehearsals, lessons, and recitals. I enjoy helping other people excel, so I chose a teaching degree over a performance degree.

In 1991, I graduated with my Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Pedagogy. I immediately began teaching private and group piano lessons, building my studio over thirteen years to reach more than 800 students ages five to seventy-five. I continued to accompany community choirs, local vocal artists, and student performing on other instruments. I was called as a substitute for church choir directors and accompanists. I grew up in a musical family, with various instruments being learned. I believe music is a universal thread that not only connects every human being but brings so much life and joy into one's heart. I started taking piano lessons at age 9 and continued for 10 years challenging myself to work my way up from Level 1 to 10. I specialized in classical piano growing up, but have branched out to other styles as I've gotten older.

I began teaching when I was 18 years old and fell in love with the opportunity to pass on the gift of learning music to others. I am fun and laid back, but also have a passion for good technique and proper note reading.

Jim has played piano and keyboards for over 30 years. Classically trained at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, Jim has performed in top-40 rock bands in New England to jazz bands in Tampa Bay. I've been teaching professionally for over ten years and have taught over 200 students of all ages and backgrounds how to play. I've played mostly in rock bands but have also done Classical, Jazz, and Country projects. I play a wide selection of styles including Rock, Pop, Country, Ragtime, Folk, Blues, Bluegrass, Metal, Church, Renaissance, Punk, and Funk/Soul. (Everything from Bach to Rock to Bachrach). I graduated from the University of Maryland.

I have been playing music since I was 9 years old. I studied piano with Robin Kaplan, Mark Evans, Lee Shaw, and Dr. Gary Bush. In 2004 I completed a Bachelors of Arts degree in Music Composition and Production from the Purchase Conservatory at Purchase College in West Chester, NY. Recently I completed a very successful tour as pianist for the United States Marine Corps Band, based in Cherry Point, NC. Music continues to be the focal point of my life! It makes my world go around. I have always been involved in playing for something: an organist at a church, a pianist for soloists, accompanying performing groups, pianist with orchestras, and many times, solo performances on the piano or organ.

Teaching is second nature to me, having taught music in public schools, plus classroom grades 3-6, for a total of 20 years. I have taught many piano and organ students privately over a 30 year span and enjoy teaching all ages. Quite of a number of my students are now teachers themselves.

I love introducing young children to music and delight in watching their newly acquired skill become something fun in their life. I also enjoy the challenge of teaching adults who've made the late-life decision to "finally learn to play the piano". Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, at the age of 9, Natalie knew music was something that was just a part of who she was. Writing songs on the piano before lessons could be scheduled, Natalie found herself immersed in a medium that would bring her joy for the rest of her life.

By age 14 Natalie had won several trophies competing in Classical piano with the Illinois Music Association.

As an adult, she would go on to fill her life with the world of music as a singer, songwriter, performer and recording artist.
