I have been playing drums, percussion and performing since I was 14. I have traveled the world, playing music of many genres: blues, rock, funk, country, big band, symphonic, jazz, etc. I have played in venues ranging from nightclubs to concert halls.
I have studied music at the University of Florida, Berkley School of Music and Santa Fe Community College, as well as privately.
I have taught extensively for the past 25 years - both privately and through music schools. I taught clinics for the Florida Arts in the Schools programs and am comfortable with both beginning and accomplished students.
Students will benefit from my vast musical background and diverse performance experiences.

Music has been my passion since childhood. Having learned at an early age the benefits of music in all areas of life, I want to encourage you to give me an opportunity to impart the knowledge, skills, techniques and passion that has driven me to share this with the world. I am a trained classical pianist and have studied with the best. I have been teaching for years and look forward to spending time with you as you grow in your love for music too! Hello, I'm Levi! I am a guitar teacher in Tallahassee, FL as well as a student in the Florida State University Music School. I have taught guitar for over 3 years to several students and have enjoyed every minute of it. Teaching is a passion of mine and I'm glad to be apart of takelessons.com. I offer a diverse set of styles to learn from; classical, country, rock, metal, blues and pop. I have 9 years of guitar experience and wish to help others with that experience. I am a classically trained pianist who has been playing for all of my life. Some of the most complicated pieces are part of my own repertoire, from Chopin to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. I can play almost anything that is put in front of me, as well as anything I hear. My goal is to let students grow as a musician to be able to play piano for their own entertainment and pleasure.

I have taken flute lessons from the flute professor at FSU as well as guitar lessons from Dr. Leo Welch here at FSU. I have given multiple lessons and master classes on both flute and guitar. I have also been a music theory tutor for many students. I have a lot of experience with both giving and receiving lessons, so I have learned many ways to adapt to any situation.

I love laughing and making jokes, which is one of the most important aspects of any teacher. Lessons should be something to look forward to rather than dreading to spend time practicing. I do prefer being more laid back as a teacher, but still know when it's time to get more serious about the work.
