About Me
Teaching is a privilege and responsibility. As a guitarist I strive to give my best at every performance and lesson. I instill the same qualities that have opened doors for me in my students. I teach students to think for themselves on their instruments and how to apply what we cover in our lessons to their day to day lives and playing experiences. From the largest stages to solo settings I draw on my twenty years of playing music and share the insights I've learned along the way. Below is my bio:
As the eldest of four children I began violin at age eight and began playing guitar at thirteen. I was self taught on guitar until beginning private lessons at age sixteen. I entered into high school and played guitar in jazz ensemble all four years. I received a scholarship from my high school's music department due to my dedication to music through performance and participation in marching band, men's quartet, show choir, orchestra and jazz band.
