I've been playing and teaching music for the majority of my life, and I love it :) In fact, I cannot imagine what life would be like without music.

I received my first instrument (a guitar) as a Christmas present when I was only nine years old. My life was forever changed that day, and I can still remember the first couple of guitar lessons that my dad gave me over the weeks that followed.

After thousands of hours of playing instruments, years of private lessons, and a professional music education from Pacific Lutheran University, I found that sharing the gift of music with others was my greatest talent.

I spend most of my days composing, recording, producing and teaching music (in the greater Seattle area), with much of the work performed in my Tacoma-area studio.

In 2011, my band (The BGP) had some global exposure from our appearance on NBC's America's Got Talent. This has led to some really neat opportunities for publishing our music...

My name is Sami, I am so very passionate about music. I write songs for a wonderful rock band named Blue Helix. When im not rocking out with the band I enjoy teaching others how to play guitar, Sing with power and enthusiasm, and stage presence. I have many years experience teaching music, mainly guitar and vocals. The trick i find is to first off teach timing, and teach Pitch. Performance comes with confindence. I have many different methods on how to train my students, but I have an advantage because i have a recording studio at my backside. With that I have all the equipment and lighting needed to set up a fun and realistic environment for a student to develop their music passions. I look forward to teaching you.

I'm a professional composer, teacher, and pianist - and I like to keep active doing all three throughout my community. My piano and composition lessons are very in-depth, but also very flexible. Because of my thorough knowledge and experience with music, I can teach all ages, skill levels, and an array of important subjects - including piano, ear-training, music theory, improvisation, composition, creativity, music history, ethnomusicology, and percussion. I cater to each student's interests as well as incorporate many of these subjects into my piano lessons so that every student gains a thorough understanding of music and becomes a well-rounded musician.

I grew up in a musical family and have been surrounded by music my whole life.
Since before I can remember I've been playing and writing music with my friends and family, by myself, or in bands and orchestras. I picked up multiple instruments at a young age, and have an innate knowledge of music theory that I love to share. This love of music is something I strive to pass on to my students. As a teacher, I'm fun-loving and easy-going, though I do expect my students to put forth the effort to grow as a musician and to meet my enthusiasm with their own. I get very excited about music theory, and love nothing better than seeing a student understand something new and put it to use in their own practice.

I started with piano at the age of six and studied into college as a music major. After my first year, I decided not to become a classical pianist, and switched my major to Journalism and Communications with a minor in music. Life took its course with marriage and children and in 2002, I re-visited my music background and began to write songs both on piano and guitar. Since then I have recorded 3 albums, having worked with some of the best of Seattle's musicians and I can help you get started at the very basic level and develop your talent! Much of my work and performances are dedicated to "Destiny House", a project I and my husband spearheaded for the restoration and healing of survivors of human trafficking. August is an extraordinarily versatile guitarist who has been playing in the Seattle for over a decade. He has studied under distinguished players of the electric, classical and steel-stringed guitar and continues to explore new and exciting blends between styles both as a solo player and as a bandmember.

Past performances have included works by J.S. Bach, Alex de Grassi, Edward Van Halen, The Beatles, T-cophony, Michael Hedges, Giulio Regondi, Billy Strayhorn, Jimi Hendrix, Toru Takemitsu, S.L. Weiss, Mississippi John Hurt and many others.

I am a performing pianist/composer. I write for solo piano, instrumental ensemble with and without vocals, choir, and orchestra. I've produced five CDs of original music and two books of music, one a compilation of piano solos and the other a book of teaching pieces for piano. Big inspirations are nature, spiritual philosophy, and my students.

I teach in West Seattle and on Vashon Island. I also present workshops around the country for teachers about teaching composition and notation to beginning music students, a method which helps develop creative skills and makes music theory relevant. I also direct "Create Your Own Musical" workshops for children.

I have a Bachelors Degree in Music from Sonoma State University where I studied piano with Marilyn Thompson and composition with Will Johnson. I also studied composition and music theory at New England Conservatory.

I am a professional guitarist and I perform with the popular Northwest Gypsy Jazz group, Pearl Django. I also am a founding member of Zazou, a Seattle based swing sextet and have my own trio that I play with as well.

I’m just crazy about the guitar, you can ask my wife, and I love teaching guitar almost as much as I love playing it. My goal as a teacher is to help people reach their musical potential and have fun at the same time. I have been giving private lessons for the past ten years, and in addition to lessons, I offer workshops and clinics at festivals, in schools and with the Seattle Jazz Guitar Society. I have been working as a musician for 25 years, playing all styles. From polka to jazz, and classical to hip hop I played every gig I could get! This helped me grow as a musician and an educator.

I play piano, guitar, bass, and the touch guitar. A guitar with the octave range of a piano, by which the performer plays bass and guitar simultaneously by touching (or tapping) the strings. I've been playing touch-style for 20 years and I teach master classes on the technique. I also teach music theory, harmony/arranging, and musicianship/performance classes.

My name is Zarni and I am a recent graduate from the Berklee College of Music with a Bachelors in Music Education and Songwriting. During my time at Berklee I received two scholarships, The Korg Endowed for Early Childhood Education and the Scott Benson Scholarship, the highest award given for Songwriting. Most recently I won Most Promising Music Educator Award in the Choral department, an award given by the Dean of the Berklee College of Music.

I have taught in several different environments. I taught for two years at the West End Boys and Girls Club (an after school program for teens ages 10-18) as a vocal and piano teacher. I also started a songwriting program for students that were interested in writing. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Contemporary Vocal Performance at the University of Colorado Denver in 2009. I graduated summa cum laude (with highest honors) and won the Outstanding Graduate award from the College of Arts & Media. I even sang the National Anthem at my own graduation, in front of thousands of other graduates and their families, an honor usually reserved for faculty.

While earning my degree, I specialized in singing, songwriting and the recording arts. I also professionally competed in an honors a cappella group. During this time, I took a great deal of leadership and learned how to assist choir directors in warming up and teaching new vocal materials to large groups of students.
