From the time I was a small child I have loved music, and from the age of six knew I would become a teacher.

I began private piano instruction at the age of six and continued through college until the present.

In middle school I began playing for school functions, churches and community events. During my college years I was chosen to be the musical director of a six member Teen Team that toured many countries in Europe giving high school assemblies and concerts for Youth for Christ International. Later I also toured many years in the U.S.A. with other groups and now it still gives me great joy and pleasure to play for churches, schools and other organizations.
After college I began my teaching career and was introduced to the Pace Approach to piano instruction. I am very fortunate to have received the intensive training and study required to teach this amazing piano method. It has been extremely effective with all my students for many years.

After graduating high school, the Visual and Performing Arts School of Music, I attended G.I.T. in Los Angeles. From then on I concentrated on playing live and teaching. I took a three year break from teaching when I traveled and played with a band stateside. After that I went back to college and received my Bachelor's Degree from Central Washington University. Still with a focus on playing live and teaching. Currently, I am playing locally and teaching students with great success. I love what I do.

My musical background begins as a young six year old girl. That is when I began private piano lessons. I continued with lessons all the way through high school. I performed in many recitals, competitions, and National Piano Guild auditions. I've played pieces in many genres of music ranging from classical to jazz to pop. I continue to play the piano weekly for children's choir as well as church choir, and I occasionally accompany singing soloists.
Teaching is my life! Seeing students "get it" puts a smile on my face! I have had the privilege of teaching in privates schools for several years. I have taught two year olds, upper elementary, Junior high, and high school grades. I also do private math tutoring for all school-aged children. I have learned many teaching styles and approaches through the years which have benefited my students academically or at the piano.

I've been performing and writing music for over a decade, and teaching for the better part of that. Music has brought a great amount of joy to my life, and it's something that I love to share. Receiving private lessons growing up was absolutely invaluable to me as a young musician, and I think that you'll agree that having the right instructor makes all the difference.

I've lived and breathed music for a long time. I've performed with many bands, playing not only guitar, but bass and drums as well. I've toured, released albums, composed for films, recorded bands, studied music at a collegiate level, and tackled a wide variety of genres in the process.
