About Richard

I have been playing guitar for 12 years. I have been involved in various high school and college metal bands, and am currently in a comical, animal rights themed death metal band called Animals Killing People. I took piano lessons from a young age before starting guitar, but would find myself playing pieces by ear more often than improving on my sight reading skills. Switching to guitar has been great for me, as I think the instrument provides more opportunity for expression and personalization than the piano; to me, a pianist seems to be more of a vessel who can interpret a composer's intent from sheet music. Malorie L. Stamford, CT

About Malorie

The voice is the unexplainable language of the spirit, expressed through sound. To uncover the artistry and texture of the singer, one must probe into the inner spirit. My approach is holistic, meditative, and spiritual. Connectedness between the mind and body is essential. I can help singers of all levels find or fine-tune their voices. Since I'm a working singer, I have the on-the-job experience necessary to help my students excel in pursuit of their musical goals. I cater each lesson to the needs and personalities of my students, because all students learn differently. I expect that the student provides the necessary materials like lyrics, a recording device, and a pencil and paper.
