Lyric Baritone, Orlando S., holds graduate and undergraduate degrees from the Peabody Conservatory and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, respectively. Orlando serves as the Director of Music and Chancel Choir conductor at Hunt's Memorial United Methodist Church which was founded in 1773 during the advent of our nation’s history.

In addition to his work as a conductor, Orlando is also a highly-respected and sought studio teacher of voice and piano. He maintains an active voice and piano studio in the Baltimore area having successfully taught hundreds of students. Orlando holds memberships with the National Association for Music Education (MENC), the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and teaches students in five different locations.

A little about my musical background: I majored in Songwriting (as a Voice principal) at Berklee College of Music and graduated with a Bachelor's in 2007, teaching periodically in Boston while in school. My goal was to strengthen my vocal, writing, and instrumental skills and gain a greater knowledge of music theory and the music industry, with the intent to record my own songs and perform in some capacity as well as promote songs to film, TV, and possibly other artists. In 2008 I attended Maryland's Sheffield Institute for the Recording Arts for six months to expand my knowledge of recording arts, so that I could improve my own home recording skills and also understand what the heck was going on when being recorded as an artist in a professional recording studio!

Chrissy has expressed her passion and enjoyment of music through teaching students for the past several years. She encourages her student’s to be creative and excited about music. She believes music should be about self-expression and lessons should be tailored to the student’s interest while keeping the fundamentals and key elements of music at the forefront. Chrissy has been involved with music her entire life. She started out singing at the age of nine and was known as the little girl with the big voice. She also began playing the piano the same year and continued on to learn guitar at age eleven. Chrissy has been classically trained in guitar, piano, and voice by Towson University professors as well as Peabody graduates. I have studied with Wanchi Huang at James Madison University for six years. At JMU, I earned a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music, both in violin performance. I am currently working on a doctoral degree at Catholic University of America, studying with Jody Gatwood. When I was a student at JMU, I taught several students privately. The students ranged from retirees to JMU faculty and students to adolescents. I am now teaching at Baltimore Talent Education Center, where I teach violin in small groups and individual lessons. The students at BTEC range from pre- kindergarden through high school. I also have festival experience. For as long as I can remember, music has been a part of my life. I began dance and piano lessons by the age of three, and at 9 I began to study violin with Phyllis Freeman at Peabody Preparatory in Towson. In high school, I studied with Klara Berkovich, and in 1997 I began studies with Dr. Zoltan Szabo. I graduated from Towson University in 2002.
After college I played in Irish, Bluegrass, folk and rock bands. I have been performing locally in an old timey jazz duo for ten years.
I have been teaching for 6 years, and I absolutely love it. I try to develop a program individual to each student with challenging and fun material.

I discovered music sifting through my Dad's record collection and soon decided that I wanted to play guitar. As a teenager I began taking lessons and building confidence in my abilities. I played in different types of bands ranging from rock, country, blues, and jazz. After completing College in 2003, I realized music was not just going to be a hobby, but a career. At age 31, I have been teaching and playing guitar professionally for the last eight years. I believe that anybody can learn to play as long as they are patient and understand that anything worthwhile takes time and sustained effort to achieve. You also need a good teacher who understands how to take you where you want to go musically. I have taught over a hundred different students of all ages and abilities. I have seen many of them grow musically and gain confidence in other areas of their lives as a result. I aim to inspire every student to find their way to a rewarding life through music.

I am a recent Music Education graduate from the University of Maryland, College Park and I currently teach in Baltimore City Public Schools. I've had over four years experience as conductor of the Gamer Symphony Orchestra (a 130+ member orchestra with choir that performs video game music.) I have also had previous experience teaching private flute and piano lessons out of my own home. I currently teach in an after school music program teaching K-2 Percussion and a middle school Guided Band Practice and am seeking to teach full time in Maryland Public School System. I would love to help students understand how music can greatly impact all aspects of their lives and I believe that helping students become engaged in the material by using music they like to listen to (such as video game music) is also important. When I first heard my dad play "Blackbird," I was hooked. I borrowed my little brother's guitar and started teaching myself from some old Hal Leonard books. There was something so exhilarating about making a piece of wood produce beautiful sounds. Soon I was taking lessons on electric guitar, playing Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. My teacher at the time pushed me toward classical guitar and I starting attending evening classes at the local community college when I was in high school. I fell in love with making music and decided to make it my career. I earned my Bachelor's of Music from Arizona State University, studying under Frank Koonce. During my first few years there, I focused on technique and commissioning new works for the guitar, while exploring the vast repertoire of music available.

Soprano Belinda L. is quickly emerging as a sought-after performer both in opera and as a recitalist. Her performances have been described as “mesmerizing” and her crystal clear voice is full of a “beauty and sensitivity that makes her an immediate stand out.” Most recently, Belinda has appeared on the stage of Peabody Opera as Euridice in Gluck's Orfeo. Past roles include leads from Cosi fan tutte (2010), Die Zauberflöte (2010), Rigoletto (2010), Gilbert &Sullivan's Trial by Jury (2009), Lakme (2009), Le nozze di Figaro (2009), and Don Giovanni (2008). Equally in demand on the concert stage, Belinda has sung the soprano solos in Faure's Requiem and Handel's Messiah.

I am a composer, arranger, and producer with a continual appreciation for music and the arts. I embarked on my musical journey at a young age, receiving instruction in basic piano, moving on to study classical piano, and then learning jazz piano. I began writing solo compositions for piano as an early teen, and quickly thereafter learned how to use recording equipment. I also learned to play the saxophone as a child, playing in various elementary and high-school school bands. Often would my father, brother and I perform events held at our church as a saxophone trio, playing standard jazz pieces from the 1950s and '60s. While studying at Goucher College, I learned music theory, music history, and arranged several of my own pieces and a few original arrangements for the Jazz Ensemble.
