I discovered my true passion when I started playing guitar at age 13. Ever since then, I've branched out to other types of guitars (Acoustic, Electric, Sitar, Banjo, Ukulele) as well as many different genres (Rock, Blues, Hip/Hop, Metal, Classical, Reggae, Progressive, Ambient, Folk, Experimental, Punk, etc.). The importance of songwriting, melody crafting, harmonic arrangement, and lyrics came to me when I discovered the true talent of groups like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Jeff Buckley, Simon & Garfunkel, and Pink Floyd. I taught myself how to sing and how to play the piano about 6 years ago.

On May 2012, I graduated from UMass Amherst with a Bachelors in Marketing/Psychology. I decided not to attend college for Music because I wanted to learn more, musically, on my own...

Music is my passion! It is involved in every detail of my life, everyday of my life! Therefore, being able to teach others the skills that I have been so lucky to possess, i believe, is a gift! I've been a full time professional musician for 13+ years and have toured all over the world performing with music icons like Chacka Khan, Beyonce, and many more. I have a lot of experience with many different styles of music and I love sharing this gift with anyone who's interested. My teaching philosophy is simple: Get students playing music! It's much easier to understand the nuts and bolts of music when put into the context of the music you like.

Music is my passion. I love film and acting but music is where my heart truly lies. I am a new graduate from Berklee College of Music in Boston, but my love of music started long before my college education.

I began piano lessons very young but gave that up to pursue guitar. I've also been writing from an early age, anything from lyrics to poems to short stories to screenplays. My poetry was published many times in a US wide book featuring the art of children between 6 and 12 years of age. My father, an artist (mainly painter), encouraged me to pursue my artistic passions and by the age of 12 I was writing some of my first songs on guitar. I took voice lessons over the years as well as guitar lessons and even played clarinet in my high school band. I spent a year in Puerto Rico in my junior year of high school where I attended an arts school and was a student at the Conservatorio de Musica de Puerto Rico. I started my musical training playing classical piano when I was six years old. From there I studied Classical/Romantic Piano until I was seventeen. Since I was brought up listening to my Dad's Beatles albums and I became more and more interested in rock music as I grew up. In high school, I began learning guitar so that I could become a more versatile musician and to be able to play anywhere. Before I graduated high school, I completed a course on Music Technology and AP Music Theory and I knew that I wanted to continue my music studies in College. I acquired my Bachelor of Science degree in Music Technology at Northeastern University, with a minor in Music Industry. During my time in College I had worked in a professional recording studio, studied piano/ guitar/voice, and composed numerous instrumental and acousmatic works.

I have been playing the bass guitar and guitar for about fifteen years, where I have specialized in Funk, Funk-Rock, Alternative Rock, and Reggae. The bass guitar is my primary instrument, as I currently play in a Funk-Rock group that has performance experience in New Orleans and Boston.

George has been playing guitar and bass since 1994, teaching since 1999. He has been playing the drums and piano since 2000 and has been teaching since 2005. He is a graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston. He also has a Masters in Music from the illustrious Duquesne University. He has played and recorded on numerous recording sessions, has played and recorded internationally and maintains a steady pulse in the local music scene. George is also a professional recording engineer, so while not in a lesson he is usually recording, editing or mixing for other clients.

I eat/breathe/sleep music. From writing and conducting my first a cappella piece in high school to playing in bands that have toured around the world (The Fates, Ben Levin Group), I am a music machine! I value nothing more than finding that passion in others and working together to turn musical fantasies into realities.

From grade school to high school I took rigorous classical piano lessons. In 2006-07 attended two summer programs at Berklee College of Music where I studied jazz/rock performance, and continued to study jazz piano at Washington University.

At Boston University, I studied classical music composition/theory, and was accepted to for a dual degree in Music Composition & Psychology, but decided to pursue music as a minor in order to allow more time for gigging. Since relocating to Boston, I have performed 250+ shows in various ensembles around the greater Boston area.

I fell in love with music at an early age; my mother taught piano in our home, my brother became an acclaimed concert pianist and I followed along but was more drawn to popular music. I am excited to work with students of all ages and levels, and am here to help you unlock your musical potential whether for performance, or composition. I'm devoted to passing on the joy of music-making to students of any age.
I have played keyboards and at times bass with five different Canadian touring bands over 10 years, and have taught youths to adults off and on every since.

Over my 20 years of teaching , I have had Guitar, Bass and Mandolin students go on to continue their musical education at Berklee, then on to careers in music both in performance and production, as well as preparing students to go on to Julliard and MI and NEC. My goal as a teacher is always to help my students achieve their personal musical goals as directly and constructively as possible.
I am an honors graduate from Berklee College of Music, and have taught all ages of students privately and students at Emerson College.
I have found that most adult students have a “Horror Story” relating to some negative experience with a music teacher. This has reinforced how important a supportive environment is for younger students. Teachers who are indifferent to the student’s individual musical goals, or teachers who value the advancement of their own musical agenda over respect for the student’s musical aspirations, can do much greater harm than they realize.
