Music has always been a big part of my life. Performing and recording electric guitar and bass guitar with several bands for over ten years. Toured as lead guitarist with original band for 3 years. Produced & engineered songs for different local artists. I have been teaching private lessons to students of all ages since 2007. I am also a music teacher in early childhood education, currently teaching at several preschools in the twin cities. In 2011 I also started teaching a series of music classes as a part of the music therapy program at Minnesota Veterans Homes.

Learning music is a challenge that I face with pleasure, passion and persistence. While doing so, I’ve learned to face other life challenges as well. For me, music is a way of life.

Currently, I play regularly with three different groups. In doing so, I get to play blues, rock & roll, and jazz. At shows you may see me playing electric bass, upright bass, or keyboards depending on the night. During the week I teach lessons to a wide range of ages and abilities.

Playing music quickly became my passion when I started playing at 15 years old. The electric bass was my first instrument, but guitar, drums and keyboards promptly followed. During these early years, I was playing with anyone in my small town who knew how to play at a venue which allowed young musicians.

My music students are introduced to basic music theory, notation, and technique that enables them to play fun, simple melodies after the first lesson, and fun simple arrangements after the first month.
My students can expect lessons to suit their tastes and goals, whether they intend to pursue music formally, professionally, or for personal enjoyment.

I studied classical piano and theory with Sr. Cecile Amore, jazz theory and mellophone with be-bop saxophonist John Mastroianni, jazz piano with Noreen Grey Sauls, and jazz history with the late Bill Finegan- big-band leader and acclaimed arranger for Tommy Dorsey and Glenn Miller.

I enjoy playing classical music (primarily Mozart, Beethoven and Chopin) tango, and pop songs as well. I have played keyboards and bass guitar professionally and enjoyed some commercial recognition in California when invited to open for a well known Bay Area band ("Foxboro Hot Tubs" a.k.a. "Green Day") at The Roxy and a handful of other west coast...

I'm a nice guy. I'm working to be a musician in the world. Its not glorious, but its what I love. Music is my passion, its been such a huge part of my life, even before it became my career, that I truly believe that everyone can benefit from learning an instrument.

Adam is a cold hard rocker from the great state of Alaska. While playing in the hometown rock phenomenon, Spasm, Adam got his taste for a real rock crowd and this fueled his passion for the bass. In his musical career, Adam has played with national artists such as Steve Turee (Saturday Night Live Band) and other touring members of N’SYNC, New Kids on the Block, Steve Miller Band, Atmosphere and Poison. He has also worked with GRAMMY award winning producers and song writters. In his spare time, Adam works as a session player in the Twin Cities, playing on everything from Victoria’s Secret commercials to Christmas jingles.

My name is Beau. The bass guitar is a great passion of mine and I am excited to share my knowledge and experience with others. I am eager to teach as well as continue my own personal journey as a musician. Initially self-taught, I attended McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul, MN where I earned a degree in Bass Performance studying under Terry Burns, Gary Raynor, Jay Young, Jeff Bailey, and Charles Fletcher.

I have been performing professionally in various original and cover/variety/wedding bands for over 6 years. I also have extensive studio performance experience constructing and recording bass lines of many different styles. I also play in the local original band, The Fontanelles.

I am the weekly bass player for the contemporary and traditional worship services at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, and have also played bass in musical productions of Footloose and Godspell. People know me for being passionate, energetic, patient, and friendly.

Almost twenty years of teaching experience centered in performance, composition, and theory in the styles of classical, jazz, rock, soul and funk. Over thirty years of education , recording and performance experience. Attended the University of Mn. And Berklee College of Music. I liken musical instruments to people with incredible depth and unlimited potential, waiting to be tapped!

Mark H. has been a professional teacher, musician, and singer for over 20 years. He has taught Voice, Guitar, Acting, Bass Guitar, & Music Theory to students of all ages in various settings ranging from private lessons to college classrooms. He is a fun, experienced, passionate teacher willing to work with students of all levels from beginners to professionals. Mark absolutely loves helping all his students achieve their individual goals.

Mark has performed in musical groups that have played locally and toured nationally. He has opened for national recording artists such as Eddie Money, Blackfoot, Kenny Wayne Shepard, Molly Hatchet, and Shooting Star (to name just a few). He has extensive songwriting experience and has composed original songs for various local bands. He has also produced musical scores for theatrical productions at the University of Minnesota, Harmon Place Players, and the Rhombus Theater Company.
