What People Are Saying About Us. (Pretty cool, right?)
I have been playing / studying the drum set for over 23 years. I have taken lessons from some of the best teachers on the West Coast and brought the best of their knowledge into my lessons. I have been teaching kids at the Rock School in Seattle for the last 10 years as well as teaching privately for ages 10 and up. Some of the groups I've played / recorded with are: Atma, Kiss Her For The Kid, Leanne Wilkins, Carrie Akre, and Stereo Sons.
Subjects Taught
Bass Guitar, Guitar, Music Performance, Music Recording, Music Theory, Songwriting
About Me
I've been exploring music since age 13 when I started with bass and guitar. I've gigged around the Puget Sound area with different types of bands, playing classic-rock styles, blues, big band, r&b, punk rock, reggae/ska/rocksteady and experimental/alternative styles. I've played in numerous college ensembles. Performance and songwriting are my school-related focus now, and I've developed a songwriting and vocal presence in the last two years. With nine years as a music student and five years as a private lessons teacher I've collected techniques and tips that help students achieve a strong supported presence with their instrument. I continually put myself in both teaching and learning environments. I currently attend college private lessons for voice and composition.

James has expertise, talent and a genuine desire to see our son truly learn guitar. He meets our son at his level and makes learning enjoyable and effectual.
One unique thing about me is that I've have experience in MANY different musical situations ranging from performance and education to arranging, band leading, touring, recording, and writing. I began as a punk rocker as so many people my age did. Learning the songs of the bands I listened to. As I got older and more proficient at my instrument, I began playing for the high school jazz bands and choirs in the area I grew up, beautiful Bremerton WA. When I was 16 I began my formal training at Olympic College where I played bass in several of the school ensembles as well as studied Theory, ear training, and history courses. At 18 I graduated with an AAS degree, took a year off to tour with a vocal jazz group called Jazz line, then applied to Cornish College of the Arts the following year. At Cornish I was exposed to many different world music styles and cultures as well as many different local Seattle musicians. From the time I got to Cornish in 2004 until now, I have been performing...

Cory C,
Guitar lesson
After months of trying to teach myself how to play guitar and not being able to see the results I was hoping for I decided it was time to find a teacher. I've been taking lessons with Tim for about a month now and so far it has been awesome. I wanted to learn the guitar in hopes of being able to write my own music on it and not just play covers of other artist . Tim has been customizing our lessons toward me to show me the things I should be learning to reach that goal. Things to practice and some theory as well. overall its been a great experience
Subjects Taught
Bass Guitar, Guitar, Classical Guitar, Music Theory, Songwriting
About Me
I have been playing guitar since I was 14 and I have not looked back since. I love music and I love helping other people discover the joys it can bring. In college I studied classical guitar and got experience playing in many different groups. I currently perform in and around the Seattle area.

Daniel R,
Daniel R's Review
My son has only had a few lessons so far but we are both pleased with Greg. My son's previous teacher was very good and found learning opportunities in music my son wanted to learn. That was excellent for my son starting out. Greg has continued that but is also bringing in more structured instruction to fill in the basics and teach music reading as well. His previous teacher was going to head that way so I'm glad we found Greg to continue what he started.

Jason C,
Great teacher!
I only had the opportunity to study with Jacob for a few months, but I really enjoyed our lessons and learned a lot. He's an excellent guitarist, is very well versed in music theory and has many strategies he can teach you to help learn different techniques and concepts. He's also a very cool guy and very dedicated to his music. If I wasn't moving I'd definitely continue my lessons with him.

Jacob is a great teacher. My daughter has had a few and connected well with Jacob. Praised his teaching style and how he listens to what she wants to learn but also teaches her what she needs to become better guitarist.
