All of my past experiences lead into my real passion: Teaching. Whether it's conducting throughout Europe or singing as featured soloist with the Stuttgart Symphony Orchestra and Oregon Symphony, I use past experience to teach students about musical and healthy singing techniques. I am currently a Doctoral candidate at UNLV. I am excited to incorporate new instructional techniques into my teaching that I learned from conventions and coursework.

Most of all, I believe that singing should be a fun expression of yourself. It should be an outlet for creation no matter the skill or age level of the singer.

I hold a Master of Education degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where I specialized in Secondary Vocal Music. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in Music (Vocal Performance and Choral Conducting) from Oregon State University. I am an active choral director and singer in the Las Vegas Valley and sing opera semi-professionally.

I have been active in the entertainment industry since the age of 12, when I gave my first professional performance. Prior to that I was already being introduced to music with years of guitar, and then vocal instruction. I do not remember a time of my life when I was not singing somewhere; in the house, in the yard, in the classroom. That is perhaps why I identify so well with the young people who gather so much enjoyment from "just singing" at every opportunity. I studied professionally for over 10 years with renown soprano and voice teacher Sylvia Jensen, who was instrumental in the enhancement of my vocal knowledge and technique. She is now the Director of Education for the Miss Ohio pageants of the Miss America competitions, elevating many young ladies to the national spotlight. At age 14, I auditioned for, and was added to cast of a network television variety program, "The Gene Carroll Show", that was a television institution for over 30 years in the midwest.
