My wife and I have been teaching piano lessons in the Kansas City area for more than 14 years. We have a studio in our home; she teaches upstairs and I teach downstairs! I am currently accepting new students and welcome the opportunity to see them grow and experience the joy of piano playing.

My full-time job is serving as the minister of music at a local suburban church. I work with all of the vocal and instrumental programs there and direct choirs and orchestra. While some of my piano students are also involved in church music, I also teach students in the Kansas City area and we cover every genre: classical, country, pop, rock and Broadway styles. I encourage each pianist to discover his or her own passion for playing!

David picked up the guitar when he moved from his hometown of Phoenix, Arizona in 2001 at the age of 19 and hasn’t looked back since. 7 years and countless hours of practicing, performing and teaching later, David plays at multiple venues in the Kansas City area while teaching from his studio at Guitar Source in Overland Park,, Southland Conservatory in Raymore, and in home tutoring service Mobile Music Teachers. David also teaches and records from his home studio in Raytown, MO where he offers lessons for home schoolers during the daytime hours.

As a guitarist David is motivated primarily by his passion for music. Growing up he was influenced by classical, jazz, and film scores. Since picking up the guitar he has been inspired by guitarists from such diverse backgrounds as Eric Johnson, Robben Ford, Pat Martino, Pat Metheny, Martin Taylor, and James Taylor, to name a few. Composer. Conductor. Pianist. An advocate for music education, Joshua began playing music at a young age. Today, Joshua works as a musician in Kansas City, MO, where he is completing a degree in Composition at the UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance. Previous to this, he served as the assistant conductor of the Washburn Symphony Orchestra, in Topeka, KS, studying under Dr. Christopher Kelts, and supplementally with Maestro John Strickler, conductor of the Topeka Symphony Orchestra.

Joshua is a strong advocate for education that is applicable to real life, and uses teaching techniques that are relative and easily understandable to his students. The musicality of his technique is universal in his applications, so students can easily make connections between emotional and technical aspects of music.

I have loved to play the piano since I was 8 years old, and I now love teaching piano as well. I have taught lessons for 12 years to students of all ages and backgrounds. I am classically trained in piano performance, but am also familiar with contemporary styles of music, including worship music.

From the time I began musical training at the age of 5, I knew that music making would always be an important part of my life. It became my muse and I followed it all around the world. I have performed in Japan, England, Scotland, Wales, Italy, France, Austria, and the United States.

to be able to share that with my students!

I taught in several of the States and in London. I am also a certified teacher in Missouri, Kansas and other States including England, Scotland and Wales. I hold a Bachelor’s degree and Doctorate from Ball State University, and a Master’s Degree from the University of Bridgeport.

Marci began her classical piano studies at 8 years old, in the private studio of concert pianist Elaine de San Miguel. In addition to recitals, concerts, camps and master classes, Marci branched out into performing in a variety of venues, as an accompanist for vocalists, instrumentalists, choirs and musicals. When she wasn't playing the piano for people, she was taking voice lessons, singing in both traditional & show choirs, and performing in musical theater. Her favorite TV show is currently "Phineas & Ferb"! (Great music on that show, if you hadn't noticed!)
Marci holds a teaching license in the state of Kansas, and is classified as "highly qualified" according to the No Child Left Behind Law.
