About Steve

Steve began his musical journey on the piano as a child, later moving on to explore clarinet and trumpet in band before discovering the French horn in high school. Steve has played for a number of musical groups, from orchestras, chamber groups and community bands to being a pit musician in musical theater and opera. This year, he will be joining the William Jessup University Wind Ensemble and playing horn in that group. Justin is a tremendous drummer and his experience from student to performer makes him an excellent teacher. He customizes the lessons to what I want to do and learn, and makes it fun in the process. I look forward to my weekly lessons and wish I could go more often.

Instructor was very helpful

I am an experienced drummer that got back into playing 2 years ago after a 15 year hiatus. I called Take Lessons to get an instructor that could look at my playing abilities and help me learn where my deficiencies were and work on them.
It was really great getting to know Justin, with his insight and ability to see what was going on with me, I was able to get focused and overcome those deficiencies or at least work on them.
He gave me a new direction to go with my rehearseal time that I hadn't yet thought of. I will help with my speed and accuracy.
I'm really glad that I called and am happy to call Justin a new friend.

I specialize in being a well rounded drummer, which means I love to study different kinds of rhythm from around the world, although if you ...

Instant Satisfaction

Matt is doing lessons with my 6-year old son and from the moment they met it was magic. Matt talks to him at a level he can understand, is so patient with him and really allows for him to have fun while learning at the same time. Matt is our third instructor over the past year and he is by far the best. My son is enthused about picking up the drums again and excited when Friday rolls around.
