I have been teaching piano for 7 years, and I also have a background in tutoring younger children with the Milwaukee Rescue Mission. Although my experiences with tutoring was primarily reading, spelling and beginner mathematics, I believe that learning music makes a fine balance with those subjects, and a superb basis for understanding beginning language and arithmetic.
