Cheers. My name is Matthew. It's a pleasure to meet you. I play guitar, bass, drums and percussion all on a professional, weekly-gigging level. I would describe my style as motivating, tactful, patient, and both traditional and up-to-date / modern. I teach all styles, but I most enjoy transitioning North American rock musicians into the world of jazz, and especially SALSA / Latin, believe it or not! I have a Bachelors in Psychology (University of Central Florida), have toured Japan with my band, and I also release solo music. I have recorded in famous Tokyo studios and actually ended up living in the Land of the Rising Sun for 4 years! I am Spanish, Japanese, and Portuguese speaking as well (English as my native language), having visited Colombia, Bali (Indonesia), Hong Kong, Japan, and more. I would love to teach you!

I am laid back, yet I make sure to motivate my students. I can tell if they are excited about returning home to practice, and I use this motivation as my center. I enjoy using music books part of the time, as well as metronomes. My style is well rounded, and I prefer to teach multiple genres because each new genre improves all other genres. But for instance, if you're ONLY into punk rock, we can buckle down and concentrate on just that. I am very democratic in my teaching style; YOU'RE the student, and I adhere to your goals while showing you what other music has to offer as well! Bring in your favorite CDs/mp3s; I can learn songs on the spot within minutes.

Hi! I am a recent graduate of FSU with a Master's degree in Spanish. My Bachelor's degree is in Spanish and English. So, I have plenty of experience with literature and paper writing in both languages. I also taught and tutored Spanish at FSU while completing my Master's. Much of my Master's work involved studying second language acquisition, so I am well educated in different approaches to language learning, and I am very concerned with and adept at finding the right approach for the individual child.
In addition to tutoring, I have worked with children through babysitting and coaching gymnastics. I left higher education to work with children because they are just so much more fun!
Help out a recent graduate and hire me today!

Hi my name is Francia. I am a Spanish, native speaker and have an overwhelming passion for this language and languages in general. I studied French and English in high school and in college. I worked in New Jersey with adults teaching English but last school year I taught Spanish in PK as well as in 3rd and 5th grades a school, and enjoy it immensely.
I constantly make sure that I expose students not only to the language but also to the cultures of the Spanish speaking world.
I am extremely reliable, courteous and energetic and love to have fun with my students. I aim to promote tolerance toward all cultures and beliefs. While classroom learning is the reason that school communities gather, I believe that strong school spirit, pride, and connectedness are the values that bond a community together. My recent experience at the school has helped me develop important skills that will aid me in my new work. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!

My first tutoring experiences began as an undergraduate at USF, helping other classmates who struggled with some of the subject material (particularly biology, chemistry, statistics, and physics). Since then, I’ve spent well over 1,500 hours working with students from the 4th grade up through college level, across all subjects. I have experience working with children at Kumon Math and Reading Center. I have adapted many of Kumon’s teaching methods into my tutoring sessions with children and have seen vast improvement in their comprehension of their course subjects. I have experience working with adult students that are returning to school after many years. Additionally, I have tutored for exams such as the CLEP, MCAT, DAT, and PCAT, and each of my students passed their exams with above average scores. I can proudly state that the majority of my students improve their marks by two or more letter grades. A few have even improved from an F to an A within the same semester.
I have learned from my tutoring sessions that every student is unique, with different confidence levels, learning styles, and study habits. With that in mind, I tailor and adjust every session to each individual’s needs. I have many books, printouts, and teaching guidelines. My goal is to help each student master their subject matter to the point where they are confident with the material. I look forward to working with you or your child! Feel free to contact me anytime and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

I'm a young student at the University of South Florida currently in my last year studying both art history and studio art. I will be moving to England after i graduate to pursue my masters and eventually my doctorates. My aspirations for the future is to become a heavy weight in the art industry. My forte is drawing and I focus on the human anatomy and mixed media (collage), but I've been trained in all sorts of art forms. I started teaching a little over a year and a half ago when my friends started paying me to teach to their clubs, for events, their organizations, etc.
