About Me

I am a 30 year old full time musician. I have played over 2000 gigs over the past 6 years in and around the Tampa Bay area. I am a solo acoustic performer who sings and plays over 500 cover songs. I have also played lead and rhythm guitar for several different bands in college. I also tutor K-5 students in math and reading. Because I'm self taught I am really great at understanding how to teach people how to play in easy terms and ways that get them playing chords the very first lesson. I can work with you so that you can make your hobby even more enjoyable or even turn that hobby into a career like I have. I look forward to rocking out with you! Thanks. :)

About Me

Friedrich Nietzsche said, “Without music life would be a mistake”. I love music! Music can be so much fun. I come from a musical family and it plays a major role in my life. From a young age I was drawn to the piano. I attended magnet schools for piano for middle and high school in Miami, FL. I am currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in music performance and a minor in history at the University of Tampa. My emphasis is on piano, and flute is my secondary instrument.

I have had many opportunities to perform and compete on both flute and piano throughout the United States and Italy. Dorothy is currently the principal flute for the University of Tampa Wind Ensemble and part of multiple chamber groups for flute, piano and harpsichord.

About Me

I grew up in a musical family, with various instruments being learned. I believe music is a universal thread that not only connects every human being but brings so much life and joy into one's heart. I started taking piano lessons at age 9 and continued for 10 years challenging myself to work my way up from Level 1 to 10. I specialized in classical piano growing up, but have branched out to other styles as I've gotten older.

I began teaching when I was 18 years old and fell in love with the opportunity to pass on the gift of learning music to others. I am fun and laid back, but also have a passion for good technique and proper note reading.

I am a mother of a 1-year old and especially love working with children. Whether you have a passion for learning piano or just want to try out something new, I will do my best to make sure you accomplish your goals and have fun along the way!

About Me

My Bachelor's degree is in Piano Pedagogy. As a part of my undergrad training, I taught both group and individual piano lessons to students of all ages. After completing my degree, I taught piano lessons to several students from kindergarten to high school.

I continued my education and received a Master's degree in Elementary Education. While I didn't get any extra music experience, I learned many skills that transfer to the realm of music teaching.

About Me

Jim has been involved in all facets of the music business for 20 years. Jim's career started in 1991 with Sony/BMG where he was a product development executive for all SONY/BMG's alternative roster. Jim worked with the musical acts TOOL, DAVE MATHEWS, Mathew Sweet, Outkast, and many others. Jim decided to move to New York City in early 1996 to serve as National Director of Sales for Hybrid Sire Records working with artists ranging from Guster, Mike Errico, Art Garfunkel and Morcheeba. Upon leaving Hybrid Sire Jim was appointed V.P of Sales for Octone Records where he helped launch the the Grammy award winning band Maroon 5 and also Flyleaf. Soon after Octone, Jim did a brief stint as consult for Vh1 and also served as GM of Warcon records a punk rock label started by the founders of the Warped Tour. Recently Jim was hired to lead the A&R department of Redeye distribution where he signed the Grammy award winner Loudon Wainwright. Jim also co-managed the band Care Bears on Fire.

About Me

Piano has always been a part of my life. My first memory is a memory snapshot of a piano. I was two years old, and I remember sitting on the wood floor gazing at the piano. The rest is history.

I love music, and I love teaching. I teach my students how to express their heart through the piano; music can express what words cannot. Success of my students is what is priority in my teaching. I teach them how to set goals, and visualize themselves attaining those goals.

My favorite aspects of teaching are encouraging my students to perform their best, watching them achieve what they at first thought they could not, and bringing smiles to their faces. I always continue to learn, love to arrange and compose, and enjoy performing for my church monthly as a pianist and performing weekly in my church's orchestra as a percussionist.

About Me

I had my first piano lesson when I was five years old. I performed my first piano solos for audiences at school events. I joined the keyboard team at church when I was thirteen years old. I quickly learned to improvise and accompany. It was exciting to discover that I could study piano in college. I earned my way by accompanying voice and instrument choirs, rehearsals, lessons, and recitals. I enjoy helping other people excel, so I chose a teaching degree over a performance degree.

In 1991, I graduated with my Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Pedagogy. I immediately began teaching private and group piano lessons, building my studio over thirteen years to reach more than 800 students ages five to seventy-five. I continued to accompany community choirs, local vocal artists, and student performing on other instruments. I was called as a substitute for church choir directors and accompanists. I was employed as a Music Director and Organist for seven years.
