Hi I'm Marty T. and there is nothing I love more than playing & teaching the guitar (except for my wonderful family)!
I was born and bred in New York City where I learned the art of guitar playing from the finest musicians in the world. By the age of 16 I was performing in the famous Catskill Mountain hotels. Being surrounded by famous musicians and musical acts gave me the drive to continue my studies with renowned guitarist / teacher Howard Morgen.
While attending the City of New York University I continued my studies with legendary guitarist Joe Monk.
I also studied with Joe Ravo and Billy Bauer. By the time I graduated college, I had more musical work than I could handle so I opted to be a professional musician.
In this endeavor I ended up playing every venue possible in the Tri State Area. From The Waldorf Astoria and Plaza Hotel to show bands to Country Club extravaganzas, from jazz to classic rock, blues, Brazilian and so much more.

My name is Jennifer and I am a Music Educator! I am an Arizona native and have been involved with music my whole life. I have played the clarinet for 14 years and recently graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. I also hold an Associate's Degree in Music from Eastern Arizona College and a teaching certification in instrumental music education. I reside in Tempe, Arizona and I am currently an elementary/junior high band director in Peoria, Arizona. I have experience with performing in a variety of ensembles including symphony orchestra, concert band, jazz band, small ensembles, and my favorite- marching band!

I currently perform with the Mesa Community College Community Band in Mesa, Arizona.

My name is Spencer G. and I am freelance Percussionist and Drummer in the Phoenix area. I have a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree in Percussion and Drum Performance. I am originally from Los Angeles where I studied with top TV and film recording musicians. I currently teach percussion at several middle schools and I lecture at South Mountain Community College. I also have experience work with special needs students including: aspergers, extreme OCD, extreme Tourette Syndrome, and other learning disabilities. I also specialize in teaching students ages 5-18. I play predominantly with professional music theater companies in the Phoenix area as well as with a prominent Phoenix samba band, and with religious praise bands.

I love music! To me, it truly is a universal language, and nothing else can capture and express emotion quite like it. Ever since I picked up a guitar 15 years ago, I've been on a quest to learn and speak the language of music. One discovery I have made along the way is that I love teaching it to others, too!

Over the past 10 years, I've been busy immersing myself in music. The excitement of performing live on stage, the pride of writing a song that touches someone, the reward of watching a student learn something new—these are the things that fuel my passion. My dream is that my students will one day be able to experience these things!

I've been teaching guitar lessons for over 5 years, and I just recently graduated from ASU with a B.S. in psychology. Also, I am co-founder, producer, and engineer at an independent recording studio in Mesa, AZ. This broad range of experience makes me confident that I have lots to offer for every student, beginning to advanced.

I started taking piano lessons at the ripe age of 4, but I quickly found my calling on the guitar. At the age of 20, and with 13 years of playing experience, I graduated from the Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery (guitar building), after building both an acoustic and an electric guitar and receiving repair certification from Fender.
I later completed my Bachelor’s Degree of Music in the field of classical guitar performance, at ASU in 2007.
During this time I expanded to other instruments such as the Ukulele, Banjo, Mandolin, Dulcimer and Bass Guitar.

I am involved with a number of extra musical activities that are available for you. First, I am part of a weekly jam session where my students meet and jam on a rotation with other music students in the phoenix area (drummers, singers, piano players, other guitarists of all ages) From this has spawned a number of bands. I love teaching and feel that I have a gift for it. I have taught over 250 students - all ages, levels, and styles - who would describe me as a patient, consistent and authentic teacher who gets great results, while maintaining a positive, low pressure teaching environment. My teaching style is "student centered." I believe it is important for students to learn and understand music at their own pace and on there own terms in order to achieve the best results. It is my job to take every opportunity to encourage students' interests while providing them with the tools, skills and knowledge that will transform those interests into unlimited musical abilities.

I am very good with children and served as the Director (and guitar teacher) for the Salvation Army Creative Arts Program for Youth in Billings, MT. Michael has worked with kids for 10 years in schools and arts programs to find fun and their best self through performance. He has taught orchestra, chamber music, jazz band and music theory in the public schools, while performing in local ensembles in and around the city. He also has studied drama, voice and movement and believes all these skills help in expressing yourself--no matter what pieces you want to play!

In addition to working with students K-12, he also loves working with adults. I try to provide a nurturing atmosphere for someone trying revive or discover previously hidden musical interests!

With 15 years performing and 8 years teaching experience under my belt, I am a focused teacher and musician who really enjoys seeing students achieve their goals and desires musically. I started playing music by taking group piano lessons through a Yamaha music school when I was about 7 years old. I started playing drums when I was 11 and guitar at 13. By the time I was in high school, I was involved playing all different types of percussion in the marching band, jazz band, and steel drum band, in addition to developing an interested in music recording and production. This was also the time when I started to teach drum lessons. Since then, I have played in multiple bands in venues all over Phoenix. I have worked on production for albums and videos for many different bands. I have also completed an Interdisciplinary Degree in Arts and Music at ASU.

I've taught composition and improvisation to instruments other than guitar, (vocalists, fiddle, sax, piano, trumpet) I've taught all ages and levels. I currently pursue a doctorate of music in guitar at university. Students learn many things when studying with me. They learn physically how to play a particular instrument while learning music as its own language. Students learn how to learn, learn self-discipline, and access their musical expression, all life changing experiences.

As a veteran Musical Theatre performer, I have also been hired as Musical Director at Chandler Children's Theatre as well as Board member.
