I'm Rick and I have been playing guitar for a couple of decades. I specialize in all acoustic styles, including artists like James Taylor, Paul Simon and other "folk rockers". Whether you just want to play some of your favorites, or learn to accompany yourself as you sing, I'm your guy. Strumming, finger-picking and just enough music theory to get you to understand what you're playing...and grow!

Do you need to dig deeper into Music Theory? I'm a Magna Cum Laude graduate with a Masters Degree in Theory, so if you need some beginning or advanced level tutoring in this subject, give me a call.

I have been playing and singing music for most of my life. I began studying violin and singing in the 1st grade, and over the years I was privileged to perform with several youth symphonies and children's ensembles, and it was such an integral part of my early development. I enrolled in the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where I studied opera with some of the best teachers and coaches in the country, and where I met some of my closest friends and colleagues. The performances I took part in with these talented singers were some of the best experiences of my life. I received both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in vocal performance, and over the course of my career I have performed with many wonderful companies, including Cincinnati Opera, Central City Opera, Opera Theatre of Lucca, Sarasota Opera, St. Petersburg Opera, and Opera Naples.

I am a seasoned veteran drummer with over 35 years of varied experiences. As a caring, nurturing and patient drum instructor , my lessons will significantly benefit beginner, intermediate and advanced students regardless of their age.

I have taught several students with learning disabilities such as ADHD and ADD and their confidence and ability has grown from learning to play drums.

Genres of music include: Hard Rock, Soft Rock, Rock-Pop, Classic Rock, Blues, Shuffles (Double Bass Drum), Funk, R&B, Jazz, Progressive Rock and Heavy Metal among others.

I have played in many rock bands around the country and have been giving drum lessons for 10 years in Los Angeles, Arizona and now in Florida.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education (1987, Ball State University) and a Master of Music degree in Voice (1994, University of South Florida). I've taught in public schools in Sarasota. Currently I am adjunct staff for State College of Florida (formerly Manatee Community College) teaching private voice and piano lessons and music appreciation classes. And I am a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing.

My music studio has been serving music students in the Sarasota area since 1991. I offer private voice, piano and music theory lessons for students of all ages. Currently my studio includes students from 5 to 74 years of age! And in my 30 years of teaching all of my students have shown improvement in skills and enjoyment.

A little about me. I am 25 years of age, slowly, but surely, attending college and absolutely love the guitar and music itself. I'm one of the those people who thoroughly believe in that everyone should know how to play an instrument. Playing music exercises the mind in ways only instrumental-play can do. I find music to be one of the best ways in which to express oneself and is a form of art the entire world contributes. These are the reasons I am on this website. My passion for music goes hand-in-hand with teaching. I love introducing beginners into the guitar world. I've worked with many students at this point, so I understand some students catch on a bit quicker than others. I look forward to both types and I'll always have a smile on my face. Jim has been playing drums since he was fourteen years old and has been performing professionally for over fifty years. He has cut a record as the drummer for Lawrence Welk, played with Lionel Hampton, auditioned and accepted as a contestant for the Ted Mack's Original Amateur Hour (pre Star Search), and has appeared several times on the Washington, D.C, version of American Bandstand. He has also had the opportunity of judging drum competitions for Sam Ash Music Stores.

Jim graduated with a Bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. Over the years, Jim has organized and performed in all types of bands – jazz, rock, country, and military while teaching young drummers. He currently plays with the band Triple Distilled.

Joshua picked up his first set of sticks at 10 years old, beginning lessons with his father; this seemingly young interest took a turn for devoted passion and appreciation of rhythm and music. He is versatile drummer with more than 15 years of experience in different styles.

Joshua attended Florida State University and studied Jazz under Leon Anderson as well as advanced studies at The University of South Florida under Dave Via. He has had the opportunity to play with several local musicians such as Marcus Hampton, Mike Gibilsco, Kevin Wilder and many others.

Joshua brings something unique to the table with a background in Jazz and passion for teaching!

Hello! My name is Nic. I am a graduated music Performance major from SPC. I studied Electric and Upright bass for 5 years at St. Petersburg College. During my years of instruction I have learned about many different styles including Jazz Walking Bass, Funk, Rock and everything in between. In my lessons, we'll focus on whatever you want to learn and focus on, while learning and maintaining proper technique.

Joe, a Blues Rocker at heart, who began teaching music in 1975, at Farrington's Music Center in Princeton, N.J., is now the owner of Ace Guitar and Vocal Studio, and Director of RockShop Music School, both located in St. Petersburg, Fl. since 1998.

Joe has logged many years of professional performance experience with musical groups of all kinds.

In addition to a stint in the 90's as Orchestral Guitarist aboard "The Monarch of the Seas" with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Joe served as Musical Director in 2001 for a Tampa, Fl. production of "Hair", and as Guitarist with numerous Broadway Show road companies such as "The Bernadette Peters Show," "Hello Dolly", and "A Chorus Line." Joe continues to serve the St. Petersburg area as a music instructor in addition to performing.

I have been playing music since I was 9 years old. I studied piano with Robin Kaplan, Mark Evans, Lee Shaw, and Dr. Gary Bush. In 2004 I completed a Bachelors of Arts degree in Music Composition and Production from the Purchase Conservatory at Purchase College in West Chester, NY. Recently I completed a very successful tour as pianist for the United States Marine Corps Band, based in Cherry Point, NC. My performance experience includes jazz, R&B, reggae, classical, rock, funk, country, and DCI style marching band. I am very inspired by the vast world of music and I encourage my students to explore many genres of music in their studies.

At the ripe age of 8 years, I began a musical journey that over the past 37 years has afforded me the chance to work with a series of outstanding mentors. In retrospect, I can appreciate how each and every one of them fostered whatever innate abilities they recognized in me and graciously helped me develop my musical skills. Today, I am fortunate to work as a professional musician and educator--and I am grateful to be able to "give back" to other aspiring and realized musicians. I value the opportunity to share my experiences from the stage, the studio, and the classroom to help each individual student realize her or his personal music goals.

My name is Berthe ( pronounced Bert). At the age of 4, I began taking
piano lessons. By age 8, I was performing for the first time at the
Assembly Hall of the American University of Beirut. In 1978, I attended
the Faculty of Music of the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik/Lebanon,
where I completed a Ph. D. in music education and a higher diploma in
piano.
From 1982 to 2000, I taught piano, music theory, music education,
music appreciation, and the history of and analysis of Western music
at the University of the Holy Spirit of Kaslik (USEK), The University of St.
Joseph (USJ) and the Lebanese University (UL).
I recorded my first CD “Rehna Meshouar”, a collection of Lebanese
