About Me
Joseph is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music at Texas State University - San Marcos. He currently studies violin with Dr. Lynn Ledbetter.
A native of rural West Texas, Joseph began playing the violin at the age of nine and has loved it ever since. He attended Lee High School (Midland,TX) where Karen McAfee was his orchestra director. His senior year he relocated to small town Rankin, TX where he picked up the clarinet in the community band and with a little help from the community revived the school band program. From those experiences he knew he wanted to be a music educator and subsequently started school at Texas State University- San Marcos.
At Texas State he is involved in the local chapter of the American String Teacher's Association, Music Educator's at Texas State, and Mu Phi Epsilon; a professional music fraternity.
