Joseph is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music at Texas State University - San Marcos. He currently studies violin with Dr. Lynn Ledbetter.

A native of rural West Texas, Joseph began playing the violin at the age of nine and has loved it ever since. He attended Lee High School (Midland,TX) where Karen McAfee was his orchestra director. His senior year he relocated to small town Rankin, TX where he picked up the clarinet in the community band and with a little help from the community revived the school band program. From those experiences he knew he wanted to be a music educator and subsequently started school at Texas State University- San Marcos.

At Texas State he is involved in the local chapter of the American String Teacher's Association, Music Educator's at Texas State, and Mu Phi Epsilon; a professional music fraternity. Joshua has been a musician for over twelve years and been a teacher for five. He is an award winning composer, critical thinker, and an honest teacher. Joshua has a high standards for his students and himself.

Joshua has studied Suzuki method under Dr. Paula Bird for three years and has taught over 80 students already. Joshua also teaches at the Texas State String Project under the direction of Dr. Ames Asbell and Dr. Karla Hamelin. He has done so since it's inception.

Joshua is an award winning composer and has composed over 60 pieces, ranging in style from classical symphony to electronic dance. He has also arranged 100's of works for violin and piano.

When I was a little girl, I begged my parents for piano lessons.... and then flute lessons... and then saxophone lessons, and then oboe lessons... and then voice lessons.... and the list goes on and on! They couldn't keep me away from music and theatre.

I studied music and theatre in college as well as having earned a Master's degree in education. Music, theatre and the performing arts have been my passion since I was a child. I am lucky enough to enjoy doing what I love for my career.

I grew up in New Braunfels, TX and grew to love music at an early age, first picking up the guitar at age twelve. I went to Colorado Christian University where I studied jazz and classical guitar under renowned guitarist, Danny Masters, and graduated 2010 with honors and returned to the New Braunfels area where I have been teaching guitar and bass and has been active in the music scene from San Antonio to Austin, playing in the jazz club circuit. My debut jazz album was released to much acclaim in 2012. I then pursued a Master of Music degree in Composition, graduating with honors in 2013. I am also active as a session musician in a wide variety of genres, both as a guitarist and bassist. With a wealth of experience and in depth education, I am prepared to give students a strong foundation in music to start out with and also help them fine tune their abilities into the advanced levels.

I began playing guitar at the age of eight when I found an old nylon string that my older brother had left when he went to college. Although I couldn't take lessons because we didn't have a guitar teacher in the small New Mexico town I grew up in, I began playing the thing incessantly-particularly while watching TV. By the time I had learned how to play the theme to “The Newlywed Game” on the guitar, my mother relented and found a local accordion teacher who would give me music lessons. By the time I was in middle school I was playing gigs with a local Country and Western dance band.

After high school, I moved to Austin, TX. Those years leading up to my return to college were filled with lots of music, not much money, and the invaluable education in music that only Austin, TX can give. In 2006 I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Theory and Composition at the University of New Mexico, and was embarking on a new path in my career.

I am a graduate of Texas A&M University - Commerce where I studied Music education / percussion performance. While I was attending the university I had the privilege of performing with various ensembles such as: the jazz band, the Brazilian ensemble, the wind ensemble, the classical percussion ensemble, the marching band, and the improv ensemble. I also had the wonderful opportunity to be a member of the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps, where I played drum set in 2008 and 2010. I hope to use my experiences to further your knowledge and ability as a musician.

Christopher is one of the most unique and accomplished musicians of his generation. With 3 higher degrees from top-notch universities, he has performed, composed, and taught extensively across North America and Europe. Specialties include electric guitar (rock, blues, jazz, metal, funk, and more), classical guitar, bass, classical and contemporary composition, orchestration, music theory, and electronic music. Christopher has worked as a professor at 4 different universities (most recently at the University of North Texas), in addition to nearly 2 decades of private instruction. He enjoys teaching students of all levels, ages and styles - from the most fundamental to the highly advanced.

I have been performing, recording, and teaching music for the past five years. After getting a degree in music theory, I began playing with a band full time. In addition to playing all around Austin, I have traveled to places like Seattle, Nashville, and Waikiki to play shows, record, and interview with with my band on live radio. Songs from our album were played on Austin's own KGSR. We also played on Fox 7's morning show, Good Day Austin. I enjoy playing and teaching a variety of instruments and a variety of genres. To me, understanding music is key to unlocking your full potential for artistic expression. When I teach, I incorporate both what I learned in school and on stage.

My name is Mariam and I am a professional musician/violin teacher with a Master's Degree from the University of Texas in Austin. I have lived and taught violin all over the world, worked in the Austin Waldorf School and in the Redeemer Lutheran School in Austin among other places. For the last 5 years I was a part of a String Faculty as a Violin Professor at the Mahidol University in Thailand. Of course, all those years I kept performing and making music as a soloist, chamber and orchestra player.

I have been playing guitar since I was ten years old. My first passions were playing rock and roll, blues and r&b. By mid mid teens I became interested in jazz guitar , and soon after, studied classical guitar. I studied music in college (S.U.N.Y at Albany) earning a degree in composition and theory. Later, I returned to school (S.U.N.Y at Old Westbury) for my education credits. As an adult my performing experiences has been numerous and varied, ranging from playing with Frankie Valli, Chubby Checker, Todd Rundgren to Irma Thomas, Rashied Ali and John Stubblefield. I have" freelanced "as a guitarist in both the U.S and abroad and have also spent time working as a studio musician. My teaching experience has also been numerous and varied. Some examples are: S.U.N.Y at New Paltz -teaching applied guitar and jazz ensemble, overseas school in Rome Italy-teaching middle school music and many years of teaching private lesson to guitar students of all ages and levels of proficiency.

My name is Tim and I live in Schertz, Texas. I hold a BM and a BME from UTSA and an MM from Texas State. I also studied drama for 3 years at Trinity University. I have been a music teacher for 22 years. I have taught elementary music, secondary choir and college level music courses. I have performed in operas, musicals and plays in San Antonio and I have sung at Carnegie Hall in New York. I studied voice with Herald Stark and guitar with David Underwood. I have led a professional singing group and a professional dance troupe. I have composed choral music which has been performed in San Antonio and entered into international competitions. I have spent years learning techniques to help students sing in tune and learn how to read music. I have experience teaching students of all ages from 3 year olds to adults. I teach students from Northeast San Antonio, Selma, Schertz, Live Oak, Universal City, Cibolo, Converse, Marion, Seguin and New Braunfels.

I graduated from University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA! I received a BFA in Musical Theatre. What a change that was to go from Texas to Philly! I auditioned for many different schools, and know what it takes to get there. I then moved to New York City 2 days after graduating, on my 22nd birthday! I had 13 wonderful, and also challenging, years in NYC. Lots and lots of auditions, of every kind! Broadway, Off-Broadway, TV, Soaps, Film, Commercials, Concerts, Readings, Showcases, etc. I have sung for ABBA (Mama Mia), Stephen Schwartz (Wicked), Hal Prince (Gypsy). I was also up for leads in Mama Mia, Wicked, Rent, Hairspray. So, I definitely have a lot of versatility, and knowledge of what they're looking for! I did a Eugene O'Neil play called "Ah Wilderness" at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis, MN. We opened there, and then toured it all over the midwest for 6 months.
