Emma is an excellent teacher;
Her lessons were very helpful, she pointed out to me places I could improve in my performance, and taught me ways to practice them; she was considerate and flexible with arranging the schedules; always arriving on time. Her lessons were helpful and fun. I loved ending the flute lessons with a duet with her. I would recommend her without reserve.

Abigail G. Burlingame, CA

I have started many beginners on the flute, from young children to adults. I have also served as a sectional coach for youth orchestras, which involved extensive work with intermediate level students, and as a section leader for university-level ensembles, which included mentoring and coaching players who had already achieved a high level of performance.

I have been taking flute lessons myself for over 14 years, so I am familiar with a number of teaching books and techniques.

About Abigail

I am currently pursuing a Master of Music degree in Flute Performance at San Francisco State University, and have over 14 years experience performing on the flute. I also have extensive experience teaching and coaching, and have worked with students of all ages and experience levels. *** Lesson Details *** I offer 30, 45, and 60min lessons. I can travel to students who live within a reasonable range from BURLINGAME, CA, but I prefer to teach in my studio and can usually be much more flexible about scheduling when students come to me. I offer weekly or bi-weekley lessons, although weekly lessons are almost always recommended for improvement on the instrument. *** Studio Equipment *** Music stand Flute music (to be lent only, must be returned) Pencils Staff paper ...
