CA Standard Credential from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. I have been tutoring and teaching students for many years. My goal is to reduce anxiety in learning a subject and to give students the tools and knowledge they need to study on their own.
Most of my students are tutored in math. Usually my students suffer from math anxiety. They believe that they are bad in math. I help them to use previous knowledge to build on the current material. By the end of the sessions, they feel good about themselves and their math abilities.
I also have a Certificate in College Counseling from UCLA. I help students prepare for college/career from grade 9 through grade 12. I help with standardized tests, entrance tests, college applications and federal funding.

Lessons are generally in a relaxed setting and designed to work towards accomplishing student determined goals. While all students will study similar fundamentals, every lesson is as different as every person. What are your goals? I'll tell you what you need to do to get there, and help you take the steps to achieve your aspirations.
As a teacher, my goal is to provide a positive hands-on experience. I strive to create an environment where learning is enjoyed and explored, teaching in an exciting, fun, and passionate mode. I am not strict, and have a strong sense of humor - although I do expect the students to practice. I have an extremely optimistic, energetic disposition and use positive reinforcement to encourage my students! This has always served me very well in working with students. Give it a try, you will be satisfied!
