I've been playing trumpet for just about 15 years. I studied trumpet at a college level at Lindenwood University, and have held top positions in the university's music ensembles, in spite of not being a music major. I will be graduating with my degree in Chemistry in 2013. Outside of college, I play professionally with several groups, and sub in other ensembles whenever I can. I have the most fun playing trumpet when I get to play higher and louder, so I specialize in jazz lead playing, and I rather enjoy the cover band gigs that keep me above the staff for hours at a time. I have had the chance to study with a number of excellent world-class musicians, and I try to take the lessons I have learned from them and apply them towards helping my students. I'm trying to avoid name-dropping,
Hi! My name is Angela, and I teach private piano, voice, and theory lessons. I love teaching, and have taught many ages (3 to 93) and ability levels (novice to advanced). I am a dependable, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic teacher. I offer lessons for 30, 45, or 60-minute weekly sessions in my home studio. I do not offer bi-weekly lessons or lessons in the student's home. My home is a split-level, with my private living area above and my music studio below. There is a waiting area just outside the music studio, as well as a half-bath specifically designated for students and parents. The studio itself contains a piano and organ, my personal music library, and additional seating for parents. There is a full-length mirror for vocal students to watch their performance skills grow, and a ...
Music has been a part of my life since I was a child. I started singing in choirs around 7, and started piano lessons at 8. I am a graduate of Loyola University New Orleans with a Bachelors of Music Education and a Masters of Music. I have sung with the Loyola Opera Theater, New Fangled Opera, New Orleans Opera, and was a resident artist at the International Performing Arts Institute in Kiefersfelden, Germany. I love music, and I love teaching! I've been studying music since I was a child, and want to give as many people as possible the chance to experience the joy and fulfillment that comes from making music. Whatever your musical goals are--whether you want to sing or play for recitals, competitions, your friends and family, or just yourself--I can help you achieve them. Whether you're
My name is James, and I love music. Music is my "aeroplane". It's the window to my world. Everything I do involves music: learning it, playing it, listening to it, creating it, studying it. I think it is safe to say that music is my life's passion. If you have a passion for music, or even just a curiosity, I'd love to be the one to help you explore the magical world of music! I've been playing for about 20 years now, and I've had almost every experience that one can have playing the piano: playing at a high competition level, public performances, both solo and ensemble, lots of private instruction. My personal training is in classical piano, however I believe that all genres possess the potential to be an instrument of learning and enjoyment, AT THE SAME TIME! And I'd love to show you ...

My love of singing began with my mother. She is an amazing singer but didn't really receive training, so she encouraged me to pursue singing. I was in choirs since 3rd grade and started voice lessons in 8th grade. My senior year in high school I was part of a choir that was invited to sing on NPR's From The Top! It was a thrilling experience. I received a bachelor of music degree in vocal performance from Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia. I participated in choirs, musicals, and other performance venues, including two recitals. Since graduation I have moved to St. Louis to pursue singing and teaching. I am excited to share my love of singing with you! *** Lesson Details *** I want to facilitate your musical growth, working with you to reach your goal. Regardless of ...
