*** Lesson Details ***
As a private guitar instructor, my primary goal has always been the development of each students' musical creativity. Whether a student of mine hopes to become a songwriter, composer, or jazz guitarist or if they simply wish to learn guitar for their own enjoyment, I can guide them in the right direction. I firmly believe in the value of music theory, sight-reading, ear-training and music history. All of these aspects of music will be incorporated into each lesson. However, when I cover such material with students, I make sure that it directly relates to the style of music and/or material they are interested in learning.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Home Studio

*** Travel Equipment ***
I would expect the student to provide his or her own guitar, amplifier and cables. I would be willing to bring books, charts, sheet music and anything else that would be needed to teach each lesson.

*** Specialties ***
Although I teach guitar styles ranging from jazz, blues and rock to classical and flamenco, I am most proficient as a classical guitarist/teacher. The majority of my training as well as musical interest is in this style.

Lilli L. Sacramento, CA

Subjects Taught

Music Theory, Piano, Songwriting

About Me

Hi there my name is Lilli.

I began piano lessons at the age of 3 and have been playing ever since. I have taken 5 semesters of music and jazz theory at American River College and am currently studying under instructor and pianist Tatiana Scott.I take a mult-faceted approach to my teaching. I stress correct form/hand posture (imperative for proper and efficient playing and for protecting the muscles of the hands/wrists), I teach student's to read music (both by note recognition and intervallic reading) and I often mix in ear-training exercises. I'm also available to transcribe music for the student should he or she wish to learn a specific song (if sheet music is not available.)

Whether it's a hobby or perhaps some day a serious endeavor, I welcome all students and coordinate with them based on their goals and learning style. Music practice takes time and diligence but it should always be fun!

I've been teaching for roughly 6 years now and have taught ages 5 and up.

Look forward to hearing from you!

*** Lesson Details ***

*** Studio Equipment ***
Piano

Currently I play guitar with my band Hero's Last Mission. I'm endorsed by Presonus Audio, CAD Audio, IK Multimedia and Tronical Tuners.

*** Lesson Details ***
My teaching style is very laid back. Music should be fun!

I like to find out what my students want to get out of their instrument. Weather it's being able to play along with what they hear on the radio or becoming the next Slash. My job is to set you on the right path and make goals to get you to where you want to be!

The fundamentals and basics are very important but it's also good to just be able to jam! I try and make lessons a good mixture of the two so you never get bored with playing scales and theory.

Let the fun begin!

Dedicated lesson room/Studio. Recording equipment. Instruments. I have a guitar, amps, recording console.

Seating for parents in living room. I have 3 dogs but they will be in a different room.
