About Me

Hello! My name is Bianca and I would like to help you enter and enjoy the wonderful world of music!

I was introduced to music at a young age and haven't stopped playing. I love to have fun when I play, but I love sharing my passion and joy even more!

I feel that my experience as a teacher has helped me grow to build relationships with my students. I don't treat lessons like Juilliard studies. I have fun with my students. Music can be a serious study, but it is also one of the most fun and rewarding. My goal is to build a good relationship with my student so that I can work with them, rather than against them, to achieve the same goal. Making music is fun, but developing a passion for it gives it the life that nothing else can.

A.A. Traditional Music
13 Years Performance Experience
3 years teaching Elementary School Band and Choir
3 years teaching High School Band and Choir
Continued study at CSUS in Music Education

In my time working as a music tutor, I have helped students falling behind in their performance classes to exceed expectations and come out ahead of their class in the end. As a teacher, my graduates have gone on to middle school as leaders of the intermediate band because they were too young for advanced band.

*** Lesson Details ***
The first lesson is about getting to know each other. From here, I can decide how and what should be taught.

My lessons are laid back and include small breaks, especially for beginners. I understand that learning certain techniques can be frustrating. I also understand that a student can become tired. These short two minute breaks are used to further discuss the technique, theory, and history behind the literature. It also helps to strengthen the bond that I like to create with my students.

I use much of the same curriculum that band instructors use in the Sacramento area, making transferring from private lesson to band and other ensembles easier. I focus on both solo and ensemble literature, helping the student succeed as both a solo performer and an ensemble performer. With this, I also give a small amount of theory and history so that the student can develop a relationship with their instrument and the music.

I do give practice homework for each lesson to make sure the student keeps up with what we have learned and help them achieve their goals. I may also give research homework, or give the student a worksheet to complete by the next lesson in order to better understand the music and the time period they are working with.

Lessons start with a warm up and review to cover concepts before moving on to new ones. I only teach as fast as the student would like to go. I only move on to the next exercise when the student feels comfortable and ready.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Looking into adding a studio in the Sacramento Area.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I bring my own horn for instruction. I expect the student to provide their own instrument and have their own book to work from so that they may practice between sessions.

*** Specialties ***
Teach: Classical
Specialize in Classical with emphasis in solo and ensemble playing

Emily L. Camino, CA

Subjects Taught

Bass Clarinet, Clarinet, Flute, Guitar, Music Theory, Piano

About Me

I have been taking music lessons since I was five. It brought so much joy to my family and I grew to have a passion for instruments and the beautiful noise that they bring.

I started teaching lessons in 2002, and in 2010 I became a teacher at Boys and Girls Club. I taught any musical instrument the kids could bring from school along with theory lessons. I believe that through musical theory and composition kids get a chance to not just play any instrument but also understand how the music is made and why certain symbols mean different things. They learn to read music and understand it, which has always brought my students great excitement when they can read music better than anyone in their bands and be the first to raise their hand.

I prefer to teach through what the student is interested in and learn through encouragement. I had one of the best music teachers who always knew how to bring the best out of a student and bring out their talent, I continue to strive to do the same with my students today.

I always put on a Spring and or Christmas Recital for my students. It gives the students as well as the parents a chance to show off everything they've learned that year and enjoy the talents of all the students who participate.

I hope to hear from you soon for a lesson!!!
