I have been teaching for about a year. Most of my experience comes from live performances and working in bands. I graduated from Musicians Institute in 2012 with an AA in guitar performance and certificates in Live Sound, Post Production and, Sound Engineering.

John was born and raised near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He began playing the guitar and composing music at the age of twelve. From 2002 to 2004, John attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he studied classical guitar performance and became the guitarist for the University Jazz Ensemble. John transferred to Berklee College of Music in the fall of 2004. At Berklee, he performed in guitar quartets and quintets and majored in Composition. He will receive his Bachelor's Degree in May of 2011.

I am an extremely enthusiastic person when it comes to learning. I want to spark your interest rather than force ideas onto you. I have been tutoring mathematics for over a decade now, and I have seen all types of students. These days I manage a tutoring center for a San Juan District charter school that offers help for all high-school subject matter. I currently am in the process of getting my credential to become a high-school math teacher as well. I have a passion for learning, and what better way to learn than to teach!


Outside of work and school, I spend most of my time visiting family, taking care of my dog, hanging out with friends, learning to use my camera, checking out local music, and participating in cultural events. I've played flute since the day I fell in love with it. When I was a little girl I saw the flute for the first time and wanted to play it ever since. I had a rough start in learning how to play the flute but over the past 13 years I've developed enough skill to be an advanced musician.

Gaw is a voice artist, music teacher, and arranger local to the Sacramento area, specializing in styles such as Jazz, Pop, R&B, and Classical. Music has always played a big part in my life since the third grade when I joined an after-school program for a recorder choir. I decided to start learning the violin a couple years later but never imagined as a child that it would lead me to keep pursuing a college degree in music.
