Robert "Gary" was born in Detroit, started playing guitar at the age of 12, and at 14 began playing bass as well. He has continued to play both for 40 years.
Growing up Gary’s mom was a talented amateur pianist and loved jazz, and his stepfather was a country music DJ so his home was filled with music. Gary’s influences early on included Jazz players like Ray Brown, Jaco Pastorius, Ron Carter, Eddie Gomez, and R&B players like James Jamerson and Chuck Rainey. On guitar Gary was influenced by Pat Metheny, Mike Stern, Joe Pass, and Johnny Smith as well as Bluesmen like B.B. King, Albert King, Buddy Guy and many others. As a kid Gary played in Pop and Rock bands but was lucky enough to have an older friend that worked at a Blues Club in Ft. Lauderdale so he got to listen to a lot of Blues in the early 60's. Being exposed to so many styles and genres of music, it is not surprising that Gary’s musical resume includes, Jazz, Blues, R&B, Oldies, Big Band, Show Tunes and more....

I have been playing guitar for the last eleven years. Music was something that took over my heart at an early stage in my life and I decided that it should be part of it for the rest of my life. I am a composer and a singer as well, I studied Recording Arts in Full Sail University and I currently own a recording studio that lets me have the opportunity to be creative with music and record it as well. I have been teaching guitar and voice for the last 5 years and I basically love to teach. Teaching for me is like another way of learning because every student is different and each person has something to bring to the table. Now I am currently teaching in a manner that suits every student; it is a fact that each student has a different pace and way of learning, so I always develop a teaching method particularly for each student that shows incredible improvement.

With almost 10 years of secondary teaching experience, both in a charter and public school setting, I am confident in my ability to become an asset to your student's individual educational needs!

A graduate of Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa (2003), I graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education with emphasis in both vocal performance and flute. I am incredibly active in several music professional organizations including FBA, FMEA/FSMA, MENC, IBA, and IAAE, as well as being an alum of Mu Phi Epsilon, a National Honorary Music Fraternity.

I was honored to be nominated each year while teaching at Ainger for the Charlotte County Teacher of the Year and was selected as the 2004 Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year for Charlotte County. This honor comes from student nominations that are sent in and was awarded $1000 to purchase supplies for my program.

Hello, I'm Brandon, and I have over twenty years experience performing guitar and bass guitar in churches, retreats, cafes, nightclubs, concerts, graduation ceremonies, weddings, funerals, and festivals. I am the sonic architect of the LIFE TEEN band at St. Gregory Catholic Church, sometimes laying the foundation, and often adding the textures that have come to define the LIFE TEEN band sound since I joined the group. I am a natural at captivating audiences with my acoustic finger-picking style as well as my aggressive, frenetic, and always fun electric playing. You can hear me playing guitar every Sunday night at 6pm at St. Gregory Catholic Church in Plantation. I hold a BFA in musical theatre from Shenandoah University Conservatory where I studied with a concentration in voice. I have been trained in all styles of music by coaches at Carnegie Mellon University and Civic Light Opera. I've been performing as a guest entertainer on various cruise ships traveling around the world for the past several years. As a performer myself I am aware of what different companies are looking for and can help put together a fantastic audition package for a student looking to pursue a career in entertainment, or if you just want to impress your friends on karaoke night! I'm incredibly passionate about teaching voice and want to help inspire students to love what they are learning.

I'm a Berklee graduate with a degree in music. I have over 20 years experience playing composing and performing. I will teach you guitar, bass or keys in any given style. I'm great with music theory and ear training, and will work to make you a better musician.

With four wonderful years of musical teaching experience, I share my gifts and talents with those who too want to express themselves through music. I believe music is worldwide language and so do not intend to stifle any students individual style or sound with technique. Instead I allow the student to take the lessons and techniques learned and together we find ways to adapt to that style so that their best 'musical picture' is heard.
Apart from teaching, I enjoy singing at my own gigs, doing backgrounds for other artists, and working on new music for production in the studio. I have produced my debut album in 2007 and have released two new singles marketed to the Caribbean/reggae/latin genre. I have directed elementary and middle school choirs and led the musicianship of musicals.

I’m currently a few credits away from completing my B.A. at Florida International University with an English Major and Education Minor, specializing in early education and elementary music instruction. While I have spent time in the last couple years working with younger students and studying instructional techniques for reaching younger ages, I still feel equally comfortable teaching children and adults with a fun and enjoyable approach to music.
