I've been teaching music lessons now for nearly 8 years. I have been singing, playing the guitar, and playing piano since I was 7 years old. I went to Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey to study Sacred Music. While there I had the distinct honor of performing Beethoven's 9th Symphony and Brahms' Ein Deutsches Requiem with the New York Philharmonic, The Dresden Philharmonic and the New Jersey Symphony at Avery Fisher Hall in Lincoln Center NY, New York as well as the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. Throughout my time there I also developed my piano proficiency through rigorous ear training and through the learning of theoretical concepts in music.

I then went on to work with Mid-America Productions and the New England Symphonic Ensemble. Through this opportunity I have now sung over a dozen performances of various classical choral masterworks at Carnegie Hall in New York City! "How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice, Practice, Practice!"

I have a Master's Degree in Viola performance from the University of Akron. I have won the Tuesday Musical State wide competition for stringed instruments in 2009 for EJ Thomas Hall. I was awarded String Student of the year in my undergraduate studies at the University of Akron in which I received a Bachelor's Degree in Violin Performance. I also have performed with the Ohio Light Opera, Transiberian Orchestra, Ashland Symphony. I attended the Mark O'Connor Strings Fiddle camp in Tennessee and Meadowmount School of Music in New York. I also play at my church with the Gospel Choir, which is a lot of fun! I am also in a band where I fiddle at a pub in downtown Akron once a month.
Teaching is my passion and I enjoy working with students who are eager to learn. I am very strict with proper technique that will benefit the students ability to play well with good intonation and musicality. This will give the student the ability to play any genre of music they choose.

I first started guitar at the age of 12 taking private lessons myself. Some of my main influences then were rock, punk, alternative rock, and ska music. I received my Bachelor's degree in Music at The Mary Pappert School of Music, Duquesne University where I studied classical voice and majored in Sound Recording.

Trumpet performer and educator Traci is known for her rich tone, her highly developed sense of musicality, and her passion for sharing music with others. Her first love of music came from piano practice, but in the fifth grade she found her true love: trumpet. Traci currently resides in Cleveland, Ohio, but she received her master's degree in trumpet performance from the University of Denver. I love music! To me, it's a way of life. From listening to playing to writing and of course teaching. I grew up with music at school and church as well as at home. My dad was a piano player and teacher so music has been a part of my life since day one and I want to help others develop their love for music.
