I don't ever write reviews for anything, normally because I'm just too lazy :)
This guy deserves a good review. He's passionate, extremely knowledgeable, and exactly what you would want in an instructor. I'm still learning and very new to piano, but I'm glad I chose Randy over the many other options. No instructor is going to do the hard work for you, that's your job. A good instructor will motivate you and keep you on the right path, this is the guy.

Thank you Randy

Randy is my piano teacher. But to say that I merely take piano lessons with him would be an understatement. His title should probably also include inspiring mentor and compassionate friend. His positive energy and hilarious, kind spirit are contagious. He will forever change the way you listen to and feel sounds. He not only helped me creatively express the music inside of me in a way no teacher has before, but even more importantly, he's helped me find my voice and welcome joy and gratitude back into my life. So if you're ready to let go of your nerves and your ego and step into his studio to explore the music that is within you, then this unforgettable experience awaits. :)

Daughter Loves Class

My six-year-old loves to perform. Randy has been helping her with her intonation, piano playing, performing, and general ear for music in a manner that is fun and successful. My daughter is excited all week to go to her class.

About Bill

I've been playing for 29 years, and teaching for 22. I’m both a professional musician/songwriter; as well as a professional, experienced, and diverse guitar instructor. I teach all styles; from finger picking classical and flamenco guitar, to all rock(from classic to indie), jazz, world music styles, etc. I also teach bass; as well as Mediterranean instruments such as the Greek Bouzouki. All ages are welcome. Some insight into my teaching method: I teach sight reading notation, and all general theory; as well as general guitar tab; from the simplest songs for young students, to complex classical guitar and jazz improvisation. I started playing at 12 years old, have won numerous awards; locally and nationally; and have written and recorded in a wide variety of styles. I also front ...

A great teacher!

Bill is one of those rare guitar teachers who have both an incredible amount of musicianship and talent and a genuine passion for passing that knowledge on to students. He takes educating his students very seriously and it shows. I've been taking lessons with Bill for the last couple months and my playing has gotten so much better. I'm very excited to see where we can take my playing in the future.

About Charlene

Over 25 years violin teaching experience. I have successfully taught students ages 3 to adult. Anyone can learn to play the violin. Lessons in a comfortable setting, either my house or yours. *** Lesson Details *** Lessons are taught in my home in a comfortable setting. Parents are encouraged to sit in on lessons and are expected to help their child practice. I teach the Suzuki Method and the Suzuki book and recording are required. I will change details to suit a student, for instance I teach note reading long before a traditional Suzuki teacher would and I will add non-Suzuki materials into lessons if needed. Elements of the Suzuki Philosophy - every child (or adult) can learn - listening and encouragement are essential - parents are the real teachers, I am the director ...

Excellent violin teacher

Charlene has done a wonderful job with teaching my 6 year old daughter the fundamentals of playing the violin using the Suzuki method. She has not only helped technically, but has also given my daughter the encouragement and patience necessary to develop her confidence with playing. Her high level of experience and passion for playing the violin is very evident. I would highly recommend Charlene to anyone looking to improve their performance with this instrument.

About Nancy

I have been teaching for over 30 years. I love to teach students of all ages. My education is classical in nature and this is how I approach my lessons, but I also mix in current music that is of interest to each particular student. I have also been a church musician for over 40 years. I studied with the Dr. Perkins, Head of the Music Department at Eastern Montana College, now Montana State University, Billings. I have also studied with Dr. Peggy Daugherty, a concert level pianist. I am currently taking classes to obtain a Certificate in Piano Pedagogy.

I am Desiree' Grandfather, and I must say in these past couple months, I have witnessed a true piano master instructor at work. Nancy, is very thorough, patient, friendly and non-threatening. She skillfully applies just the right amount of pressure to get the desired results; even the environment is conducive for music. I was just an observer but if I had to rate Nancy, from 1-10 (1 being the lowest), she would receive a Resounding 10.

About Michelle

Music: I'm studying music education at Wayne State University and I've been teaching students for a few years, but started as a paid teacher in June 2013. I teach a 5 year old basic piano and music reading. I am both a woodwind and brass player; I started as a clarinet/bass clarinet player, then I switched to horn in high school and have played flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium and tuba. Joshua M. New Baltimore, MI

About Joshua

I studied music performance at Central Michigan University under the instruction of Dr. Andrew Spencer. There I focused on many aspects of music including music theory, ear training, composition, arranging, and most importantly performance. I've studied and performed countless percussion instruments, and currently teach and perform in the Detroit area. For myself, music is not a choice. Music wakes me up in the morning, gets me through my day, and helps me wind down at night. Music keeps me organized and focused through goal setting and prioritizing. Music is how I communicate, without it, I'm speechless. Now, for you, my potential student (or parent), music may play a different role in your life. It may be entertainment, it may be a social exercise, it may be family, it may be ...

Josh was my drum line instructor during my last year of high school, and he was the only instructor I have ever had who has not only taught me how to improve my playing, but he's given me the fundamental blocks that I needed in order to improve my musicianship all around. He has had a great influence on my life, not just my music, and I would recommend him to any student at any level.

I started working with Josh my first year at Anchor Bay High School and I can honestly say he was by far the best drum/percussion instructor I have ever worked with. Josh is easy-going and fun, but still gets you to your goals fast and efficiently. He is great to work with one-on-one and can help you with just about everything. He definitely knows what hes talking about and has the chops to back up anything he says. Josh can also write very good drum parts, better than any music book I have ever found. I have learned a lot over the years and I owe quite a bit of that to this guy right here, every time I talk to him I learn something new. Josh is just a great instructor overall and a very down to earth guy. I would recommend him as an instructor to anyone.

I had Josh as a Drumline instructor for 3 years. Honestly, there was no one better for the job. He made being on the drumline worth all of the hardwork and dedication because he made it fun and made us sound great. I cannot name a single person who dislikes him. I struggled playing throughout the first year but his patience made it possible for me to stay on the line. I know that if I were seeking for drum lessons, he would hands down be my first choice.
Also I have seen his band play a couple shows and the crowd was absolutely amazed by his drum skills. The rhythms and techniques he uses are groovin'.
