About Priscilla

I love people of all ages. And I love helping them discover what beautiful things they can create in the world of music! Music is such a powerful way to express ourselves, and I love helping others learn how to do this and really enjoy it.

I have played piano since I was three. When I was able to read at age four, I began lessons, and the rest is history. I graduated from Wheaton College Conservatory of Music with a degree in Piano Performance and completed a Master's degree in Piano Performance at the University of Redlands. I love to perform, have written several songs, produced three CD's all with original music that I perform, and have just completed a fourth CD featuring major classical piano works arranged with favorite hymns. I have also written a musical and ...

I am very proud of knowing Priscilla and introducing her to be my son and nephew’s piano teacher. She is a very professional, responsible and high-level teacher. She loves teaching and loves to pass her music passion to her students. What’s more, she is also a composer. I love her solo CDs which have become my home and car background music, in which people can feel the elements of calmness, happiness, purity, maturity, delight and gratefulness, all beautiful alive feelings from life. Being instructed by such a wonderful teacher with beautiful inner spirit, no wonder all her students play beautiful music

Priscilla is nothing short of fantastic! I took lessons from her when she lived here in San Diego and enjoyed them so much I am now taking online lessons from her since she moved. She is profoundly knowledgeable, patient, dedicated and kind. Her teaching methods are clear and help to make learning the piano both interesting and fun. I am an adult student, but I also know that she is very skilled at teaching children of all ages.

Priscilla is a great singing teacher!

I've been taking singing lessons from Priscilla for a year. Mostly Broadway, some blues, some classical. I've learned a lot from Priscilla! I enjoy singing a lot more now and my voice has gotten dramatically better in a year. Priscilla is a fun, very sweet, and she makes you work hard. When I started, I knew how to read music but I didn't have experience singing. She has been a great teacher at every step of the way, even as my skill level has changed dramatically.
Elizabeth E. Dallas, TX

Experienced piano teacher of 13 years available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! About Elizabeth

Music has always been a central part of my life. I was born and raised in Bloomington, Indiana, where I began piano lessons at the age of eight. For several summers I attended Rocky Ridge Music Center in Colorado, where I studied piano and music theory with university music faculty from across the country. In high school I played piano and clarinet in the jazz and symphonic bands and was a member of the All-State Band. I have a BA in history and French and a minor in music from Indiana University, which has one of the top-ranked music schools in the country, and a PhD in history from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. I've also worked as a piano accompanist for Dallas-area middle and high school band students competing in the UIL solo contest. In addition to ...

excellent with children

She has been teaching my 7 year old son for about two years, and the 4 year old for half a year. She has been absolutely fantastic with them, kind and engaging, while taking teaching and progress seriously. She also keeps entertaining magazines to engage the child waiting for the other.
My sons both love piano, and enjoy her lessons, always go there with enthusiasm. They have made a wonderful progress and to the delight of the family the boys like to demonstrate what they have learned.

Highly recommended...

My now 6 yr old son has been taking lessons with Elizabeth for just short over a year now. I am pleased to say that I am very happy with his progress. He's a very talkative and hyper child that can get easily distracted but she seems to be able to keep him entertained and interested in the lesson. I look forward to continuing lessons with her and will highly recommend her.

A teacher that inspires

My grandson has been with Elizabeth for about a year and he has made great progress. He looks forward to attending piano lessons and and showing her what he has learned and practiced during the week. She is a great motivator and makes him feel that he is really accomplishing a lot. I am very glad that we found Elizabeth for his piano teacher because she has given him a desire to be good at playing the piano. She also allows us to sit and enjoy listening to our grandson play.

Recommendation for Lisa

Lisa is an excellent teacher and musician. She's perfect for an old guy like me in his 60's that has had no lessons in decades! She is supportive and encouraging, yet critical and instructive when needed. She loves her work and it shows through her sweet spirit. I'm lucky to have found her.

Unlike most teachers, I teach piano chords FIRST. They are simple to teach and learn if done properly. In the songs you listen to, there are chords being played whenever you hear singing. You'll start by learning a Beatles song on your first lesson. But there's more. I have developed the first comprehensive tablature for piano. You can choose the old way or my new way, once you've seen me compare the two.

About Michael

My name is Mike E. I am a resident of Lake Highlands. I played by ear for eleven years before starting training on music and how to teach by Mr. Terrill Gardner. Terrill took me through music from the Rolling Stones all the way through "Modern Method for Guitar" books I, II, and III from Berklee College in Boston. He was my mentor and taught me a method that he spent thirty years perfecting. It works, guaranteed. He also taught me on bass guitar and banjo. I can help you.

Lessons are customized to meet the needs of the individual, with the primary focus on playing songs as soon as possible. I am talking about playing along with the pros, not reading notes for months and playing "Mary Had a Little Lamb." I have combined my "by ear" knowledge with ...

Mike is great, he simplifies a complex music reading into plain simple English. Within a few lessons, Mike had me playing all the major chords and using them to play songs. I look forward to being able to play more complex songs with Mike.

Mike amazed me!

On a free introductory meeting with Mike, he taught me every major chord on the piano in ONE SENTENCE! Then he taught me every minor chord in ONE MORE SENTENCE. His personality and demeanor matched his knowledge. Most of all, he made it all fun.

At the present time, I am just teaching Beginning Piano. I have been playing piano for over 20 years, but have recently put it on hold to concentrate on mastering my violin skills. I have taught one student in the past for a short period of time. She was doing well but had to quit for financial reasons.

My playing experience includes playing in two piano recitals in San Diego, CA where there were over 50 pianos on a large stage and we played music with partners. That was a lot of fun. I have also accompanied a fashion show which was fun too. I completed four semester of piano at a Jr. College and tested out of piano in a 4-year college, but I mostly play for my enjoyment and relaxation.

About Cathy

I have been teaching students on a regular basis since receiving my Violin Performance Degree in 2008, but have taught several students on and off for over 20 years. I also play in a local symphony.

Cathy has been working diligently with me to help my technique to improve, which, strictly speaking, is sadly lacking on my end. She is very patient, bless her! Overall, I am pleased with her and my hope is to become a better musician with her guidance.
