Teaching has been my passion since I first tutored fellow student in French and Latin in High School.


I've taught students of various ages in both Public and Private Schools in New York and Ohio. I have a BA in French from Sweet Briar College where I participated in the well known Junior year in France program. I have a Masters degree in Education from Canisius College in Buffalo, N.Y. I received a grant from The National Endowment for the Humanities to study French literature with other educators and native French writers and educators. I started tutoring 3 years ago in California working for AAA Academics a company supported by the Federal government and the "No child left behind Act". I have worked with students on improving skills in Reading, Language Arts, Writing, SAT and ACT Prep, French, and ESL. I enjoy working with students of all ages and ethnic backgrounds. I feel that each day is a learning experience for me. My students have helped me reach personal goals...

As a life-long singer and lover of music, Jenny looks forward to sharing her experience with you. She spent most of her high school and college years in music classrooms and on stages in concerts and numerous musical theatre productions, including Best of Broadway and other Sacramento-area theatres. One of her greatest experiences was studying voice and singing in the American River College Chamber Singers, directed by Perla Warren.

Jenny studied voice with international opera tenor, Joseph Frank, at San Jose State University. She sang with the SJSU Concert Choir and Choraliers, directed by Dr. Charlene Archibeque, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Performance in 1995. She has also been a credentialed music teacher since 1997 and has taught all ages and grade levels, including concert, chamber and jazz choirs, music theory, music appreciation, and elementary general music. She has also been a private voice and piano teacher for more than 20...

Those closest to me often describe me as a rainbow (honestly); always uplifting, looking on the bright side, perseverant through any storm, well-rounded, earth-oriented, and definitely colorful!

Being continuously committed to enhancing my education, my ambition is to be teaching at a Steiner school while completing my full Waldorf certification. En route to that goal, this coming May 2013 I’ll have completed my full time Foundation in Anthroposophy program from Rudolf Steiner College in Fair Oaks, California.

I also have earned a Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education from Kindergarten through ninth grade, as well as state Classroom Teacher certification.

I can teach you the steps needed for you to reach your goals with music. It's not always easy, especially in the beginning, but every time it gets more and more fun and more and more complex. It's almost like the math term "pie" 3.14... never ending.

With a bachelors degree in music from California State University Sacramento I studied with the best, including graduates from Juilliard and Eastman. I focus on what my students want to play and provide a harmonic grounding to enable the student to improvise or just "jam" with anybody. I also provide a positive reinforcement atmosphere and will accept ground floor beginners to advanced intermediate students.

I'm a Biola University graduate with experience tutoring students of all ages. Because of my strong work ethic I finished top of my class in both high school and college. I sincerely care for each student, and have a desire to see him/her grow and become the best that they can be. It would be an honor to be your child's tutor!

I have been performing since the age of three. At the age of seven, I began classical vocal lessons. At 8, I wrote the school song for Cherry Creek Elementary School in Marquette, Michigan. When I was 10, I entered and won the Grand Supreme title at my first pageant. When I was 13, I moved my vocal training at the local University becoming the youngest classical vocal student. After years of participating in musical theatre productions, I landed a job in a guitar shop that lead to a big shift in my musical interests. I left my small town, the theatre and my classical background behind and began fronting both Country and Rock bands, even singing along side Juice Newton, The Oak Ridge Boys, Glen Campbell, Sugarland, and Trick Pony on stage at the Porterfield Country Music Festival in 2005, which has in years past drawn nationally known country music artists such as Johnny Cash, Charlie Daniels, and Loretta Lynn. My large sunlit studio and teaching style are designed to make you or your child comfortable and lessons are designed to be supportive and helpful.

Through a wide variety of activities, I will provide you with the instruction and positive feedback you need to master the skills necessary for singing or playing the cello. You will also learn basic musicianship skills. From the beginning, I help you integrate your technical skills to create music.

Learning requires repeated rehearsal. During our lessons I will help you develop skills useful for assessing your at-home progress and giving yourself positive feedback. This will minimize your frustration by leading to immediate improvement.

I believe that every person has the ability to enjoy the profound experience of expressing themselves through music and I would take great joy in helping you learn the art of musical performance.

Steve began his musical journey on the piano as a child, later moving on to explore
clarinet and trumpet in band before discovering the French horn in high school.
Though he earned his bachelor of music in horn performance at CSU, Sacramento, he never gave
up the piano, teaching students and accompanying choirs throughout college, and
earning scholarships for both instruments.

Steve has played for a number of musical groups, from orchestras, chamber
groups and community bands to being a pit musician in musical theater and
opera. This year, he will be joining the William Jessup University Wind
Ensemble and playing horn in that group. For the last several years, Steve has
directed the orchestra at his church, and has also arranged hymns and worship music
for church orchestras and smaller ensembles.

Besides teaching piano and horn, Steve's musical interests include music theory, arranging, composition, piano ensemble playing and ethnomusicology.

I'm Lilli, I'm very passionate about music! I have been playing piano for roughly 18 years. I am classically trained but also enjoy jazz, rock, and contemporary as well. I can read music but also stress the importance of a great ear! I am very flexible with the student and his or her taste in music. I have studied music theory for two years, and have been teaching for roughly 3 years.
