I am an LA based jazz bassist and composer with five years of private teaching experience. I am very active in the LA jazz scene and I perform several times a week, including at some of the top jazz venues: Catalina Jazz Club, Jazz Bakery, and The Blue Whale.

I love inspiring music in others and with my time away from performing, I am passionate about teaching. I specialize in jazz music and theory, although I also have a great time performing funk, rock, and classical music. I appreciate and teach all levels of music theory and performance. Stefani's musical talents were first observed at the age of 5, when she began private study of piano and music theory. She played the alto saxophone for a brief period of 4 years during junior high and early high school, but then moved on to join the school choir at age 16. This choice led to the unexpected discovery of a beautiful, powerful voice. Stefani earned a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre at the University of Tulsa, with special studies in jazz vocals, ear training, and theory. Her college career provided her with intense studies in the vocal styles of Musical Theatre, Classical, and Jazz. She performed in many musicals, plays, and recitals at TU, and during each summer, she worked as a cast member of Light Opera Oklahoma. She was a featured vocalist with the TU Jazz Combo and Big Band, and she performed at the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame. I've played the violin since I was four, have a Bachelor's Degree in Violin Performance from Indiana University - Bloomington, a well-known music school, and have extensive experience teaching and playing all styles from Baroque, Classical, Romantic periods as well as folk, country, rock and blues genres.

I received my B.M., M.M., and D.M.A. in studio/jazz guitar from the University of Southern California. While at USC, I was the recipient of the Outstanding Graduate departmental award and the Order of the Areté award. Since 2010, I have performed well over 100 shows with a 5-piece swing band called the Hi-Fi Honeydrops, who recently recorded an EP to be released on vinyl in 2013. As a faculty member of the Bachelor Degree program at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, I teach private guitar lessons, sight reading, performance styles, and ear training. I also teach private guitar lessons at music studios in Torrance and Bellflower.

I have been teaching privately since 2006, and I enjoy working with students of all ages. I am a very calm and patient teacher who is passionate about music and music education.

I have been tutoring in Los Angeles Neighborhoods since 2008. I also have a good understanding of being in a classroom and responding to the demands that are present. I have worked as a Teacher Assistant and a Student Teacher in math classes during my undergraduate years. These moments are what shaped me into building a desire to teach. Being involved in the classroom with students and helping them while in cooperative groups helped me realize the great impact I can have on them. Hello everybody my name is Nisha R. , I am currently double majoring in Vocal Performance and Digital Media Arts with a focus in Music Production. I am also minoring in Music Composition. I am very good at teaching and explaining all levels of theory as well as Advanced Theory.
