From Bowling Green, OH to Peru, South America to Boston, MA I have always found the joy and fun in making music. I'm a highly trained violinist who graduated from the Boston Conservatory in December, and since then I've been actively working as a gigging musician in Boston's live music scene.

Music is my way of sharing joy and fun with the people in my community, and I feel that it's the best lifestyle I could possibly have. My students help make that community even better and stronger. Music not only gives them a healthy group to belong to but a creative space to be themselves.

I've set up a student orchestra in Tacna, Peru, played in jazz bands and combos, made music for tango dancers, and performed in countless orchestras and small ensembles. I have taught to all age groups and, after graduating with my master's degree in music performance and education, I feel that I'm ready for any teaching situation!

While at the New England Conservatory, Vivek studied with both classical and jazz instructors, including former principal trumpet of the BSO, Charlie Schlueter, legendary jazz saxophonist Jerry Bergonzi, and master drummer Bob "Rakalam" Moses. This education prepared Vivek for several professional engagements, including recording and performing with 10-time GRAMMY winner Paquito D'Rivera, the DAX Bullfighting Festival (France), the International New Year's Festival (Taiwan), backing American Idol finalist John Stevens with the Beantown Swing Orchestra, performing at the International Trademark Convention, performing at the Caribbean Jazz Festival, entertaining the heads of Kodak Corporation, and many more.

Currently, Vivek is developing a curriculum demonstrating how to create quality recordings with free software and inexpensive recording equipment (e.g. Garageband, usb mics).

I've been a full time professional musician for 13+ years and have toured all over the world performing with music icons like Chacka Khan, Beyonce, and many more. I have a lot of experience with many different styles of music and I love sharing this gift with anyone who's interested. My teaching philosophy is simple: Get students playing music! It's much easier to understand the nuts and bolts of music when put into the context of the music you like.

Music has always been a large part of my life. I began piano lessons at age 5 and sang with my church and school choirs growing up. I always enjoyed participating in school musicals, band concerts, and theatre. I began private voice study at age 16, and started my own student-run musical theatre company the same year. Kat is an enthusiastic and patient contemporary string player specializing in teaching violin and viola. Growing up she played violin and viola in school and community orchestras, as well as bass in jazz bands and small ensembles. She is a graduate of Berklee College of Music, where she studied viola/violin with Mimi Rabson, who is leader of the Really Electric String Quartet and has toured with Itzhak Perlman on his klezmer project, and Melissa Howe of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. At Berklee, Kat majored in Film Scoring (writing music for film and TV), so she is accomplished in composition as well as performance. She has performed onstage with music greats from all over the world including: Brazilian singer Rosa Passos, Cuban bassist Cachao, alternative rock singer Paul Cole, and Christopher Guest from "This is Spinal Tap."

I was born in the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia. Since I started playing violin at the age of 6, my journey in the world of music brought me to different places and I had the chance to study with wonderful teachers. I have a Master Degree in Violin Performance form Boston University, where I studied with Professor Yuri Mazurkevich. I am currently actively performing as an orchestra member with various orchestras in New England, such as Nashua Symphony Orchestra, Atlantic Symphony Orchestra, New Bedford Symphony Orchestra. In my experience as a violin student I learned a lot. And now I want to share my knowledge with you. You may be an adult or a child, a beginner or an advanced player, I would be happy to teach you.

Lori has taught in just about every field of music including: general music, theory and composition, band, chorus, guitar, world drumming, piano and dramatic arts for grades K-12. Danilo is a multi-instrumentalist originally from Long Island, New York and currently based out of Boston. He has been involved in many successful projects along the east coast. Danilo is a current member of Full Tang and Debo Band. He has also been a member of internationally acclaimed Afrobeat group The Superpowers and had toured extensively playing percussion with indie-rock band Rubblebucket.

Danilo has studied classical trumpet performance at the New England Conservatory of Music with members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra as well as percussion and drums with other esteemed faculty members (Rakalam Bob Moses, Jamey Haddad). As a composer, conductor and experienced choral singer, Sean G demonstrates great versatility as a musician. During his years as an undergraduate, Sean began writing choral music, singing with various choirs as a tenor and alto, and began fueling an interest in choral conducting. He sang for three years under Dr. Eric Banks in Seattle’s distinguished a cappella ensemble the Esoterics, a group which specializes in the performance of Twentieth- and Twenty-first Century choral music. Sean also sang for two and a half years with the choirs at St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral in Seattle under Dr. Mel Butler and Brian Fairbanks before moving to the east coast for further study.

I attended Brandeis University from 1991-1995 with a double major in music and psychology. While there, I received the Elliot Aronson '54 Prize for Excellence in Psychology and the Dorothy Haas Siegel Music Award. After Brandeis, I attended Northeastern University School of Law and graduated in 1998 with a juris doctor degree and I am currently also a licensed attorney in the state of Massachusetts.

In my opinion, a teacher is an extremely energetic, charged individual who is entirely focused on the progress of the student. A teacher is inspiring, motivating, and makes learning a fun and enjoyable experience. I strive for this level of excellence in each of my lessons.
