Hello! I'm Andrew (but you knew that) and I play guitar!
I have been teaching for just over 3 years, and have studied through both private tutelage and the Ubiquitous Music curriculum. I have studied music theory and composition at Palomar college as well as privately with a graduate from the Berklee School of Music, and have studied arrangement techniques, sound engineering and reinforcement, and mixing techniques with a student of Blink 182's producer. My guitar education has been more widely varied, and includes lessons with a Musician's Institute graduate, a Berklee School of Music graduate, and several other professional guitarists in varying fields and styles.

I offer a fun, interactive teaching style that encompasses more than 20 years of performing and 15 years of teaching experience. As a performer I have worked as a professional singer, actor, musician, and dancer. I have always had a passion for teaching, directing, and composing. While my love for performing has lessened over the years, I have found my true calling: teaching, directing, and helping others to find their passion for music and the performing arts.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a special emphasis in music, theatre, dance, and psychology. I am a graduate candidate working on completing my thesis as my final requirement for a Masters of Arts degree in Music at San Diego State University.

Jill graduated from SDSU in 2010 with a Bachelor's of Music degree in Vocal Performance. She has been studying voice for 10 years now, and also grew up playing violin, viola, and piano since age 8. Jill currently maintains a multi-faceted career as a classically-trained soprano soloist, choir director, and private music instructor. She hopes to achieve a Masterʼs degree in Speech Pathology within the next few years, and has a passionate and serious commitment to teach healthy singing and piano technique to students of all ages!

During the past 11 years, Stacey has worked with students ranging from age 5 to 75 teaching classical, musical theater, Christian, and pop music. She accepts students of all ages, styles, and levels. Her students learn through vocal exercises, ear training, song, and performance techniques. Students also learn how to keep their voices healthy and are encouraged to participate in performing venues outside of lessons. The opportunity to compete in NATS competitions is an option for all students who fulfill the requirements.

After teaching in New York and Ohio, Stacey held a teaching position at American River College and operated her private voice studio in Sacramento, California for 6 years. She recently relocated to San Diego where she maintains her private voice studio. Stacey has a Master of Music in Vocal Performance/Pedagogy from Ohio University, and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from SUNY Fredonia. I am currently working with autistic individuals using music and musical instruments as a tool. I am the drummer in the Lenny Fuzzy Rankins Band better known as fuzzy and the Bluesman. I also have my own group called Smooth Groove where I drum and sing. I have been playing drums for 40 years and have been singing for just as long. I have been playing professionally for 30 years. I produced Jacob Lusk one of American Idols finalist from last season 2011. I have been a songwriter for most of my life. I Also teach songwriting and I teach how to use recording software (Protools, Logic Pro and Reason.

I love people of all ages. And I love helping them discover what beautiful things they can create, especially in the world of music. Music is such a powerful way to express ourselves, and I love helping others learn how to do this and really enjoy it.

I have played piano since I was three. When I was able to read at age four, I began lessons, and the rest is history. I graduated from Wheaton Conservatory of Music with a degree in Piano Performance, and completed a Master's degree in Piano Performance at University of Redlands. I love to perform, have written several songs, with and without lyrics, produced three CD's all with original music I perform, and am now in the process of writing a musical. I love seeing people get touched with music and love to create and help others perform music that really speaks to the heart. It's my passion.

I hold a BA in Music Education with an emphasis in piano performance. My experience includes accompanying choirs, small groups, and soloists; playing keyboard in a band; performing in a duo piano ensemble for community functions; performing as part of an orchestra; and playing keyboard in the studio.

I began teaching in high school, when my first students were neighbor children, and I discovered the satisfaction the comes with introducing music into people's lives. I enjoy teaching all ages. My students have ranged from beginners to advanced. My students (and their parents) comment on my patience and enthusiasm. I welcome more students to inspire with a love a music!

Not only do I love chess and running marathons, but I also have three degrees in drums and percussion (Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate). I have ten years experience as a performer (including playing drums on a GRAMMY nominated album) with orchestras, touring big bands (Jimmy Dorsey, Five-By-Design), professional productions (Carnival Cruise Lines, amusement parks), jazz artists, and rock bands. I have also toured solo as a classical marimbist. Although I have a strong foundation in rudimental and jazz drumming, I also have roots in West African drumming, Cuban and Brazilian styles, and polka.

I have taught percussion lessons, percussion classes for band directors, jazz ensembles, percussion ensembles, and drum lines at Kansas State University, The University of Southern Mississippi, The University of Wisconsin Stout, and dozens of high schools. I have had over 10 years experience in Music Education and Trumpet Performance, I have performed with a wide range of distinguished groups all across California, from the Tulare County Symphony to San Diego's Own Westwind Brass Quintet. As a passionate music educator, I spend my free time teaching music to children of impoverished communities in Ecuador.

Francesca has over 20 years of experience polishing her guitar talents. While working towards her BA in Music Education and English, she carried a full teaching roster with over 30 students and still managed a 4.0 GPA from Cal State University at Los Angeles. Francesca's musical dexterity has taken her touring in four continents and has allowed her to perform with some of the most prestigious artists in the industry, including the Donald Briniger Singers, her own pop/rock bands Minor Setback and Franki and the Ntelegents, and even playing the banjo in The Three Penny Opera.

Francesca started teaching music at the early age of 16 with great success. She was on the faculty at California Music Academy, Cornelia Connelly High School, Pasadena Saturday Music Conservatory, and Sawday and Holmes Music and she has taught classrooms of up to 70 choir students. Kimberly is originally from Chattanooga, TN where she began taking violin lessons at age 6. She spent several years playing with the Chattanooga Youth Symphony and appeared as a soloist during her senior year in high school. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Cedarville University, her Master’s Degree in Violin Performance from the University of Northern Colorado, her D.M. from Florida State University, and recently completed a second Master’s Degree from Kent State University with a focus in Chamber Music under the coaching of the Miami String Quartet. Along with playing second violin in the Aidan Quartet, Kim has performed in several orchestras including the Greeley Philharmonic, Fort Collins Symphony, Cheyenne Symphony, and the Tallahassee Symphony. She was also the violin coach for the Tallahassee Youth Symphony, and strings instructor at two elementary schools in the area. She has attended the National Orchestral Institute for 3 summers,...
