    About Veronica S.

Music has been a part of my life since I was a child. I started singing in choirs around 7, and started piano lessons at 8. I am a graduate of Loyola University New Orleans with a Bachelors of Music Education and a Masters of Music. I have sung with the Loyola Opera Theater, New Fangled Opera, New Orleans Opera, and was a resident artist at the International Performing Arts Institute in Kiefersfelden, Germany. I love music, and I love teaching! I've been studying music since I was a child, and want to give as many people as possible the chance to experience the joy and fulfillment that comes from making music. Whatever your musical goals are--whether you want to sing or play for recitals, competitions, your friends and family, or just yourself--I can help you achieve them. Whether you're interested in classical, Broadway, sacred, or popular music, I'm willing to help you learn more. I am warm and welcoming, and believe that a relaxed student is a happy student, and happy students learn more. *** Lesson Details *** Voice and piano lessons are a partnership between you, the student, and me, the teacher, and we both play a role in your progress and success. Learning cannot happen without a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and adequate preparation and practice. This is what I hope to see from my students, and will give the same in return. After a few months in the studio, my voice students can expect to have a better grasp of how the voice works and the tools and techniques needed to produce a consistent, healthy, beautiful sound. Piano students can expect to know proper finger and hand positioning and technique-building scales and etudes. Both piano and voice students will have a knowledge of how to read music and music theory. Singing and playing are fun--why else would we do either of them? It's my goal to help you learn and have a good time while doing so. *** Specialties *** Broadway, art song, arias, recitative, oratorio, sacred music, choral music
