Lesson Details

In just 30 minutes per week, you can have a comprehensive understanding of piano theory, technique and performance. These are skills which will be a part of you for the rest of your life. You will be able to take your new skills and apply them to the types of music that make you happy! I am very enthusiastic about learning, and I can’t wait to be a part of your musical journey!

About

My name is Valerie, and I live in beautiful Surprise, Arizona. I am 28 years young; married to my best friend and loving husband, and we have a 1 year old! I was born and raised in Arizona, and obtained my teaching degree in 2005. I have been teaching special education since then, and completed my master's degree in 2007.

My parents gave me the wonderful gift of music education at the age of 7, when I began private piano lessons. I continued with my music education for 8 years. I was ... trained using the Suzuki method, as well as other various methods. In high school, I was a member of the marching band, playing the alto saxophone. I also lead the band as the drum major for 2 years. During my freshman year at Arizona State University, I joined the marching band and played the trumpet!

Music has always been such an inspirational, positive, fun part of my life. I love using my talents to serve at my local church, playing the keys in our worship band!

It is my desire to use my gifts and talents in education, teaching, and piano skills to engage and help YOU achieve your individual musical goals. I believe music is a beautiful universal language, and it will enhance your life with patience, confidence, communication, and joy!
