Hi! I'm from Connecticut, originally. I moved to Oregon after college (degree in English, UCONN) to pursue a career in music. Currently, I am in three bands and sometimes perform solo. (I write and arrange in all of these bands.) I try to stay busy with touring, recording projects, and performing here in Portland. I took lessons from the age of 12-18, and have been self-taught since. Primarily I'm a guitarist, but I think being a musician means wanting to know more about and be able to absorb music from all types of players, regardless of instrument or musical style. I encourage this sort of all-encompassing, open-minded approach with my students, because music is just as much about listening as it is about playing. I've taught off-and-on for the past four years. I look forward to meeting you and assisting you in your musical development!
