I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree, from Bard College, NY, where I also received the Claire Leonard Honors Scholarship, for excellence in Composition and Performance. I have been playing, both Electric and Acoustic Guitar for 30 years. I have performed hundreds of times, solo, and with the many bands I've been in. I have been Teaching Guitar, Bass etc., for almost 20 years. I have given over 3000 lessons in the last three years. Yes, I have a LOT of experience, and I use that vast experience to help you learn quickly and efficiently. *** Lesson Details *** Even if you have never played before, I will have you playing something recognizable, during the very first lesson. We'll start with basic approach, I'll get you playing, and we will proceed to build a good foundation for you, both physically, and in terms of understanding Music. You DO NOT need to know how to read music to get started, although I am happy to teach you. As soon as possible, we will begin to tackle songs, and music chosen by you, the student. My motto is "Learn Music YOU Like!". By the way... It's supposed to be fun! We'll work hard, but we'll have fun doing it. *** Studio Equipment *** My Studios are both set up with 2 working amplifiers, Computer, High Speed Internet, Printer, Speakers etc. I also have Heat and Air Conditioning that I can regulate to our comfort. There is ample parking, a Lobby/Waiting Area, directly outside my door, and there is also ample room in the studio space, for parents, siblings etc. *** Specialties *** I have taught most of the popular styles of Electric and Acoustic Guitar. Rhythm, Lead, Finger-picking, Tablature, Notation, etc. I have been teaching Ukulele for the last few years, and have also taught Introductory Bass and Banjo
