    About Tatiana A.

HELLO! My name is Tatiana. I am a music industry professional and musician. I studied at the University of Miami's Frost School of Music, where I earned my bachelor's degree in Music Business and Entertainment Industries. During my music business studies, I was also a classical voice principal under the instruction of Dr. Nobleza Pilar. I have been teaching privately for about eight years now. I began teaching to assist my High School voice teacher, Jeannine Stemmer, then continued with my own studio throughout my college career in Miami, FL. I then taught for three years in the New York City area and am now located in Nashville, TN. Students can expect to learn something new about their voice at each lesson. It is important to understand your own vocal quality and potential. While practicing techniques specifically suggested for each individual, students can experience and utilize their skill to its full potential. I really enjoy working with new singers. Not only is it a wonderful opportunity to explore new teaching methods and hearing different styles of voices, but it is also a way to keep my techniques up to par. It takes a great understanding of method/technique to be able to teach it to others and I really appreciate that factor of teaching. Last thing to know about me- I also teach beginner piano for children, ages 3-12 and music theory for all ages, beginner-intermediate levels. I look forward to hearing from you and scheduling our first lesson! *** Lesson Details *** In all of my lessons, I like to take the first half of our time working on breathing and singing warm-ups. In order to ensure a proper and healthy way of singing, it is important to understand what parts of our bodies should be engaged when we sing. With a good amount of warm-ups to start, students are sure to be relaxed where is needed and able to work on their performance naturally and positively. Once exercise is complete and sufficient, I like to introduce repertoire for my students to work on and to , eventually, learn from memory. Evaluation occurs during the last few minutes of our session. This could include assignments to complete for the following lesson, critiquing, and/or, techniques to work on daily. *** Studio Equipment *** Baby grand piano located at my home studio. *** Travel Equipment *** Portable Yamaha keyboard. *** Specialties *** Contemporary, musical theatre, and classical voice; proper breath technique for projection; performance etiquette; English/Italian/Spanish diction; interpretation of song; piano; music theory
