I am currently enrolled in the Lansing Community College music program in Michigan where I study the guitar. I have been playing guitar and bass for 15 years and can teach a wide variety of skills. I have been in touring bands of different genres and played throughout Mid-Michigan as well as the East Coast. I am a classic rock and blues enthusiast but strive to be a well rounded guitar teacher. I can teach a wide variety of music styles. I have several years of teaching experience and am a full time teacher. *** Lesson Details *** I am a laid back teacher and base my teaching style around the learning styles and desires of the individual student. Learn beginner and intermediate skills including music theory, techniques, reading guitar tab, chords, or just your favorite songs! I create my own curriculum but can also work from method books if that is preferred. Most of my beginning students learn to play their favorite songs within the first couple of lessons. In 3 to 6 months a student that practices regularly should have the skills to play most of their favorite songs, be able to improvise/jam, and understand enough about music to write their own. *** Travel Equipment *** I provide All materials besides method books. Can provide guitar for use during lessons. *** Specialties *** Rock and Blues guitar and improvisation are my specialties. I also dabble in folk, bluegrass, jazz, metal, and classical. Music theory and ear training, explaining music gear etc.
