I began as a musician in my high school drum line, where I discovered my true passion for percussion and music performance. Since graduating, I have toured the country with drum and bugle corps, performed Japanese taiko drums with Alice Cooper, traveled to South Korea to perform in a drum festival, and played countless gigs all over Arizona! In addition to keeping a busy performance schedule, I love to teach out of my home studio in Scottsdale. I have a fully equipped teaching studio with 2 drum sets, plenty of practice pads, as well as guitars, electric pianos, and a white board for music theory and visual aid. I strive to keep a laid back atmosphere while teaching, so that students are comfortable and encouraged to express themselves through music. I am able to tailor my style to meet a variety of student needs. Whether you are a fresh starter just looking to bang on some drums, or a more advanced player who wants to develop their sight-reading chops; I look forward to working with you and helping you to forward your musical endeavors! Cheers! *** Lesson Details *** My goal is to keep a laid back and positive atmosphere so that you feel comfortable and are able to learn in your own way. Learning a lot about the guitar I started out with no experience playing guitar. Within a few weeks Stevie has taught much of the fundamentals. I am now feeling confident as I play my instrument. He's always on time and has excellent communication skills. I would definitely recommend Stevie to anyone interested in learning about music.
