Drums with Steven C.

Steven C. gained experience as a drummer by studying through high school and through college. At Syosset High School he realized his love for Jazz and ended up having the privilege of studying with Earl Williams (LI Jazz Great, Toured with Buddy Holly). He then continued his education to Hofstra University where he studied with Tony Tedesco (John Pizzarelli, 42nd street revival, Chicago.) He also studied with Chris Tibaldi, Paul Caputo and Chris Rizzeli. While Jazz may be his passion he knows and is able to perform many different genres. HIs eclectic tastes in music range from Stevie Wonder to Led Zeppelin to Miles Davis to any modern day rock as well. Steven tends to emphasize technique but realizes that it can get boring very fast. He emphasizes the idea of just sitting down, playing and hitting the drums. They are meant to be hit! He wants the student to enjoy the instrument and not have to sigh at the idea of practicing.
