    About Stanislaw W.

Stash has been teaching, studying and performing music for over a decade. A graduate of the Berklee College of Music (2010), Stash makes his home in Boston teaching locally and touring throughout the world. While focused primarily as an acoustic guitarist in Bluegrass and folk styles, Stash got his start playing rock and heavy metal over 10 years ago and brings all his influences together to form his own unique voice both as a performer and as a teacher. Stash has toured Southeast Asia on behalf of the State Department performing and teaching American traditional music with "The Earth Stringband," and is currently a member of the group 'The Deadly Gentlemen,' making waves as an up and coming Boston-based band mixing modern influences with the instrumentation of a classic Bluegrass ensemble (Mandolin, Bass, Guitar, Fiddle, and Banjo). Maybe you want to just pick out a tune in your living room for fun, or maybe you're trying to figure out the in and outs of making your full-time career in music, Stash's teaching style caters to all levels and aims to focus the student in whichever direction the student wants to go with both analytical and philosophical approaches to theory, repertoire and technique. *** Lesson Details *** Regardless of style, I believe there are fundamental elements of music that apply to every genre and instrument. One can approach whatever music one wants at whatever pace through learning set building blocks. Through learning these building blocks, one can connect what one knows, hears, and feels in music. I want my students to be hard working on whatever level they are able to achieve that. I am very passionate about music in all its forms and hope to transmit that passion to any student I meet. My lesson plans are structured around the student's schedules and even if the student is only able to practice for 10 minutes a day, I expect those 10 minutes to be focused. I like the lessons to revolve around specific songs or tunes so the student can have an outlet to express whatever they're learning in a musical form. Expect Patience, Passion and Focus. *** Specialties *** Bluegrass Folk Songwriting Fiddle Tunes
